Default DP glass restore ineffective on these water spots...

Tried it on my Vette, and it did an OK job of getting rid of the little water spots left behind from washing the car.

So I brought it to my parent's place and hit my dad's car where the sprinkler system had got it. After 4 passes it hadn't even started to clean up the water spots. No effect whatsoever.

This city doesn't have particularly hard water or anything.

Suggestions?

which pad were you using ?? Speed ??? Pressure ??? Likely the waterspots have burnt in from sun and left etching but should be able to remove any minerals on glass and clean up well. I have also personally found that you can leave it on glass temporarily (outside of direct heat) then polish while still damp. For really deep etching some suggest Megs 105 on glass, and I warn to tread carefully. Mike Phillips offered some hope too.

Im a wax guy but the best thing Ive found for windows is Zaino Glass cleaner. Its a little messy. leaves alot of dust behind. Just use it sparingly. Your windows will squeak. Sort of like Mom's "glass wax" when I was a kid. A million years ago
