Both Swisswax Cotton Towel and Zymöl Buffing Towels are made from - high quality 100% pure cotton, with long fibres.
These towels aren't sized nor are chemicals applied to make them ‘fluffy’, this naturally soft surface won't cause micro-abrasions or swirls
But they are of EU manufacture (Germany) not USA, as stated 100% cotton towels that are of US origin are becoming very difficult to source

I remember when we all demanded Fieldcrest towels made in US. We all listed the vendors here and bought in quantity. Fortunately MicroFiber has taken the lead and for most, if not all automotive purposes, its a great and safe choice. The only challenge again is that most if not all comes from outside the US.
If you choose to try MF and see the benefits, these towel will outpace 100% cotton and I suspect will win you all over.

I did a bit of research a few years back on cotton towels. I found if you decide to go with cotton for washing that supima is the way to go.
SUPIMA is a trademark and regulated. The name/label can only be used on products that have been produced with 100% Supima cotton.

I bought a dozen about 3 years back and they have been great. I wanted to get some more but I can't find the source where I bought them before. I was in the process of finding a new supplier when I found this thread. Digging a bit farther I found this Zaino supplier where I will purchase my new batch.

Hope this helps and happy washing/detailing.

Perhaps its obvious or not. One can easily purchase Supima cotton bath towels and cut them down to the desired size (sewing or having the edges sewn to keep from fraying). One can purchase the towels at any of the retailers listed on the Supima website. With this you will know that the product is 100% supima cotton (and it will list where it is fabricated).
