Default What wax lasts the longest?

In about 10 days I'll be picking up a new 34 foot RV with a full body paint job. So as much as I hate to the dang thing will have to be waxed once a year. What wax have you guys tried that lasts the longest? Easy on and off works best

On another note, I have tried Rejex on some of our cars and never noticed much of a difference with bug removal but plan on giving it one more try before I drive the RV back to Alaska (picking it up in Oregon). The front of an RV is a serious bug collector so I plan on using Rejex on one side and regular wax on the other and will report back on what happens.

For durability and ease of use I have found nothing superior to Zaino. Use it on my cars and boat. The boat sits in the water 7 months of the year and keeps on beading up.

Waxes typically don't last as long as sealants. Zaino, Blackfire, Rejex, etc. are options for sealant. If you do go with a wax, look at Collinite - different from "beauty" waxes and lasts much longer.

I've found Griot's Carnauba Wax Stick to be extremely durable...more so than other waxes I've used.

In this case, I'd use a good sealant rather than a wax...Rejex, Zaino, Griot's Paint Sealant or others would do the job you want. Considering the size of the RV, the ease of using a sealant and its durability, it's the way to go.

You could always consider something like Cquartz, which should offer up to 2 years of protection.

I agree that the synthetics will last longer and IMO Zaino works great but I have not tried them all. My $0.02

Is the RV Gel Coated? I think it is, I would take a look at these products everyone has mention and also look at these two products that work very well and been around many years in the industry for the Boating and RV industry.

I doubt it is gel coated, it is full body painted, finished in clear coat.
Thanks for the tips. I already have some Rejex on the shelf so will give that a try.

I too would highly suggest the newer coating systems versus a traditional wax or sealant. You will see a year, two or more in protection from just one coat. Consider Optimum Opti-coat or CarPro's CQuartz.

Sounds like a great product. But good lord, it would take at least a week to prep the RV and put it on, lol!

But you'd only have to do this once every couple years. So there may be a lot of upfront work, but you would have a lot less time spent maintaining it over the next couple years.

Opti-coat 2.0 is quite easy to apply, and best part no buffing off. You might need to buff any excess applied, but with some care it will be one application and a very long time before reapplication. Worth every penny indeed !

I would go with either Zaino or Collonite 845. Since it is summer I would definitely use Zaino since nuba's do not like the heat of summer.

Zaino has like 15 different products on their Website. When you say "Zaino," which exact product do you mean?
