I've been using the CR Spotless system and it works great. However eventually you need to change the resin beads in the unit and this costs alot of $$. I read where you can soak the resin bead cannisters in a strong brine solution (using the salt from my water softner) overnight and this will "recharge" the beads (just like with a home water softner) - this would save alot of $.


Has anyone tried to do this? Does it really work?
