GM recommends not to use Zaino on new Corvettes
"Application of aftermarket clearcoat sealant/wax materials is not
recommended."
These are the exact words in the 2013 GC Coupe owner's manual.
I wonder what Zaino has to say about this? EDIT: Just asked Zaino thru email what they make of this. Will be curious about what they have to say.

I saw Buick post on their Facebook a few weeks ago that "using dish washing liquids to wash your new Enclave can harm the clearcoat." Then again, that same add was trying to sell special Buick cleaning products to customers. So I'm sure they weren't actually that uninformed.

Commercialism brings with it concerns of honesty and true representation. In other words, it’s difficult to know what is true when someone is motivated by income, i.e. directly targeted at product sales, more so than an unbiased opinion.
Most importantly - choose carefully whose advice you listen to, and more importantly what advice you act upon. The misinformation and myths that are so prevalent in the detail industry is the reason that detailers need to do research on their own. Treat all marketing claims as being just that; marketing claims and if you're very lucky they will be based on truth and the company will operate ethically.
I would strongly suggest that you verify any information that I or anyone else shares with you. It is the individual’s responsibility to confirm the information supplied and apply it to their situation.

I view this as no different than the oils they recommend. They obviously have a financial interest in any products they recommend. The notion that Zaino is harmful to the clear coats on newer Corvettes is nonsense. Many of us have been using it on newer Corvette clear coats for years with great results. Their paint process hasn't changed in any meaningful way, but their product endorsements have.

Every Chevy dealer out there would love to sell you their paint protection package for your new Corvette. I wish I was purchasing a new Corvette and could mention to the finance guy that on page xyz ........ GM doesn't recommend I purchase your product and see what they say.

You're title is very misleading. GM doesn't not recommend Zaino they don't recommend aftermarket sealants/waxes which would include Rejex, Adams, or the hundreds of other products out there.
Also if you keep reading it says, "Occasional hand waxing or mild polishing should be done to remove residue from the paint finish. See your dealer for approved cleaning products."
Basically buy only their products or they won't warranty damage from non approved products should it occur.

Never heard of this this until today and never heard of Surf City Garage Car Wax until a few years ago.
Man, there must be loads of waxes out there...I'll stick with Zaino!
