I use, Lucas "Slick Mist" applied with a Micro Fiber towel everyday, to wipe the dust down on my daily driven Vette!...It smells nice and doesn't leave any streaks!...

I bought it at Autozone...

I've used the lucas before and like it. Did you leave the dust on the car while spraying it down or use a california duster first?

Heavy dust, I use the California Duster first. Light dust, I just spray the Slick Mist over it and wipe it down.

Default Detail Spray

Surf City Speed Demon; if you have a Black or darker color try Surf City Black Edge.

Finishkare 425, Blackfire Detail Spray, Chemical Guys V7 and Pinnacles Crystal Mist are very popular. Many others are also 1st rate. 303 Detail Spray and Optimum both are hidden gems. Schols, Prima, and more are also top rate.

Finishkare 425 is good stuff, it would be my preferred detail spray if it wasn't for the fact that I use an acrylic sealant and wish to enhance this with a acrylic detail spray. Sonus detail spritz enhances the Klasse acrylic sealant.

The 425 smells great and leaves a very shiny smooth finish, it is a dust inhibitor too.

I lean on the protection side of the scale over final looks. A very subtle difference.

Agree with Nick! Tough to beat Adam's with Borderless Blue!

For those wanting additional paint protection, 303 Detail Spray and Optimums Spray Wax both come with UV protection. They are easy to use and beautiful.

For the pass couple of years I have been using Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer and I was very happy with the results.

I ran out and was offered a bottle of Surf City Garage Professional Polymer Detail Spray and so far I am quickly becoming a fan.

Thanks for the endorsements

We offer a number of detail sprays for different tastes, budgets, and needs.

My personal favorite is the one shown above by Homer3D -
SCG Pro Polymer Detail Spray - 100% synthetic acrylic formula, super slick, no streaks, adds protection with each use, and features an electrolytically charged additive to help dispel static charge as well as slow the accumulation of dust/pollen. Can't totally prevent it, but very noticeably reduces accumulation.

Speed Demon
- wax based, this is one of our most popular products. Simply put, it just works well - slick, adds gloss, no streaks, even in the sun.

Hot Rod - synthetic polymer based, I'd say its not as slick as Speed Demon, but pretty slick. Very easy to use, and thanks to the polymer formula adds protection.

Black Edge - similar in composition to Speed Demon, but with a touch of tinting to help fill minor imperfections for the times you can't fix em, but want to hide them. Works well with making black look a touch darker.
Hard really to answer any question like the OP - because 'best' is defined differently for everyone... what works for one guy might not be ideal for another. If you're looking to try any of our options dont' forget to use your forum code CORVETTE for 10% off... and all orders over $49 ship free this summer !

FK425 is a great topper. It doesn't smell as good as Adam's detail spray but, it's as slick as they get and a gallon is priced right if you like to use it a lot…..

It also contains an anti-static ingredient which helps control some of the dust often found on the Vettes booty.

ZAINO Z6 on a virgin surface. I ran out of energy after claying it and just spritzed some Z6 on it until I could complete the detail.

Do any of the above detail sprays build-up over time and have to be removed or can they be used everyday without concern?
