Walked out of a restaurant this evening, and the light from the standard was hitting the wheels that are shinier than I thought.

Rainy day at a recent show. Maintained prior with TAC Systems Shinee Wax sitting on top of PolishAngel High Gloss. Car has a base layer of TAC Systems 1 Step Master as the Modesta topper. Shinee and High Gloss rotating as sacrificial layers and gloss enhancers on special occasions

I am a huge fan of gloss-enhancing toppers. While I usually use Bead Maker to top my daily driver, I have used PA High Gloss and Optimum's Gloss Enhancer on my C5Z. I have watched some pretty convincing videos on the TAC Shinee Wax with gloss meter proof it does a good job. Does itdo a better job than any other topper? I know Bead Maker is pretty tough to beat when it comes to actually increasing gloss readings. Appreciate your input!
Here is where I stand on Beadmaker - I'm a tad torn right now:
I adore Beadmaker and have had wonderful results with it, but i have not yet used it on the car since it was ceramic coated. I used to use it all the time before the coating - which happened Jan 1 this year. I believe it was one of you 4 gents that was talking about not using it on their coated cars. If I remember correctly, it might have had something to do with "taking a step back" in terns of protection with a product like this, maybe even gloss...I can't honestly remember all the details, but it was compelling enough to make me continue to not use it yet. Moreover, I think the person talking about this favored PA HG or another SiO2 product over a polymer sealant. At the time of the coating, I had just gotten a hold of a few TAC products - 1 Step Master and Shinee Wax, and PA HG - i wanted to "step up" my game. I'm not knocking Beadmaker at all, I still adore it, but i'm playing with my new toys now! I was talking with Brian @ Apex Detail and his recommendation was to continue using the TAC products over Beadmaker. Interestingly enough, of all the products I've even used on my black stock Z06 rims, I don't think anything has ever mad them glow like Beadmaker; I still do use it on the rims, so technically I have used it since the coating. The rims have Modesta Glass BC-06 on them, the paint has Modesta Glass BC-05. What to you say about all this?
PA HG "Does it do a better job than any other topper?:
I want to say it is the craziest thing I've ever tried...maybe it's the placebo effect of paying $120 for 1/2 a liter, but I think the Shinee Wax might out-gloss it? Am I crazy? I don't know. It sincerely is a ridiculous product in terms of gloss and hydrophobicity. If I'm not mistaken, we are looking at 80%TiO2 and 5% SiO2 - so there is no way possible that this does not radiate like the sun. And it totally does. But...maybe the sun was brighter that day when the shinee wax came out but....sometimes I could swear the Shinee, with all it's synthetic wax power goodness, is the same if not better. I don't know, I've only had the products for about a month now and have only used each of them twice. Shinee many last a week or so, PA HG will outlast it. 1 Step master will likely be good for a very solid 3-4 months before it shows any sign of dissipation whatsoever. It's not brutally hot and humid here now, so this is the time of year when products have a better and stronger lifecycle. Once May chugs in - all bets are off.
Editor's note: yes, i believe I am applying both correctly as far as I know- less is more and using a MF circular applicator pad. Maybe 2 spritz per panel, work in, level and then buff off with Eagle Edgeless 500 or 350. I typically wait 24 hours before making a final judgement. Both products are sitting on top of TAC 1 step master which is absolutely amaze-***** - I highly recommend it. We are talking about 25% SiO2 like it's oily brother Moonlight.
I'd love to hear your comments and maybe Ron and Budget can find this post and weigh in.
Thanks for taking the time to read my other post and look at the photo and think enough about it to quote it! and ask an opinion

Thanks for the detailed review! I agree that skipping Bead Maker on a ceramic-coated car is a good idea. It works so damned well on top of every carnauba wax and synthetic sealant, but not every SiO2 coating. The last thing you want to do is make that coating less hydrophobic. I would definitely stick with ceramic-friendly toppers. I know that both Brian @ Apex and Jimbo @ Auto Detailing Podcast are fans of Technician's Choice "Ceramic Detail Spray". That stuff seems like it goes on anything like Bead Maker does, but it lasts longer and is ceramic-friendly. Just another one to consider. Pretty affordable, too!
I am reeeeally tempted to try the Shinee Wax, but I just don't know how much more gloss it would actually give over what I am using now. The last thing I need to do is buy MORE stuff. LOL! I did cave in and pick up a $12 bottle of the new Wowo's "Show Stopper" spray that The Rag Company has been selling. It has great reviews, and they come right out and say "this is just a gloss enhancer, and it will only last like a day". Looking forward to trying that this spring. My C5Z is always wearing an acrylic glaze and carnauba wax, because I just want maximum appearance. I usually use a carnauba-based spray wax as a topper, but both PA High Gloss and the OPT Gloss Enhancer seem to give a little extra gloss on top of the depth that the wax provides. I generally save those for when I arrive at a show. Give the car a quick waterless wash dust removal from the drive, then hit it with a topper.

I'm not looking to make my coating less hydrophobic believe me, it's counter productive. But for show days, all i want is blinding gloss and stoopid slickness above all, I'm not interested in protection too much (at the show that is) and Beadmaker typically only lasts 2 weeks for me. So if I knew for a fact that Beadmaker will continue to be the best at that above all other products I've mentioned, I'm not opposed to trying it.
That being said, the pictures here are what Modesta recommends I use as a maintenance product and LSP spray. M2 Blast. If you look at the ingredients, it appears to have some carnauba in it which is a no no for Si02 from the way I understand things. Perhaps it has such an insignificant amount where as it plays well with the Si02....I don't know. But when I washed the car a while back I was dying to try it and it alone . It was fantastic, makes me consider wanting to get more when this runs out as my go to detailer. I don't know yet. Currently I use the Reload/Ech2o cocktail. It have a spray bottle with it labeled "BMJ" - for Blue Magic Juice. When I run out of Reload I'll likely swap that out for DPC Armor since it has twice the Si02 or TAC Quartz Max. I'm also a fan of Uber Rinseless too. Between the BMJ and the Uber rinseless, I've got some great detail quick clean up products.
The Shinee wax is not very expensive at all - you can get 50ml for $4. I don't think I'll even not have a bottle of it in my arsenal. It is priced right, and regardless of price its a gloss bomb. I suspect you will be ordering it sooner than later.
Please let me know how the Wowo's worked out - it piqued my interest after Pan talked it up and I saw the Detail Factory videos. It kinda' sorta; reminded me of good ole' Adams Detail Spray.
No matter what we or anyone tosses around here, there are so many wonderful products out there that we are spoiled and fortunate enough to be able to get caught in the minutia of all of this.
Keep on buffin!

I will let you know how the Wowo's goes. Seems like it is liquid glass in a spray bottle!

Speaking of... If you like Adam's Detail Spray, you NEED to try their new-ish Spray Wax! It is pretty much a concentrated version of the Detail Spray. It won the spray wax gloss-boost shootout that Brian @ Apex did. I usually use Griot's Best Of Show and Jax Wax Hawaiian Shine (almost identical) as my go-to spray waxes between washes, but the Adam's is reeeally good!

That being said, I would be willing to suggest however that I’m interested in learning about new ones. 🤔🧐
I had the Adams pink one and it’s a comfort zone for many many people. I remember liking it but I’ll stick with the BMJ or Wolfie’s for now my friend.
Oh, although I’ve never used it, the light blue Griots best of show Detailer always seems to score higher marks than most.
maybe you try CarPro Elixir, eh? Nudge nudge wink wink! 😜
