Thank you
I use Megs. Also use this to clean periodically.

Look for a product designed for Clear-bra material and better ones will also contain UV protectants built in, almost like sunscreen for this material.

I'm asking cause I have quite the bug splatter on the front bumper area from my Orlando to Atlanta road trip. I'm in the middle of washing her right now...I have fine and medium clay mitts.

I just do my regular regimen, but I do avoid abrasives and machine polishing. I use Zaino Clear Sealant and top with Quick detail sprays like Z8 or Z6. Pinnacle Crystal Mist also works well. The Xpel stays looking new.

I was using plexus on my cars but recently had the guy install a bra on my new car and he gave me a couple bottles of the xpel brand sealant. Works great and no worries since it is available from clear bra company, meets their specs. Two sample bottles are going to last a long time since a drop or two is enough to do a whole front end.

When I order wax, polish, sealants....I read the description from the vendor and customer reviews. A lot of times it is stated that a certain product is safe for Xpel or similar products.
If I see I product I might like and its not mentioned if it is safe for Xpel I call the manufacturer and ask. I know RejeX is NOT recommended. I am currently using XMT Spray Wax. According to AutoGeek it is safe to use.
I'm pretty sure you should avoid products that contain petroleum distillates.

Did not realize certain products would dull the film. Thanks for educating me. For what it is worth, I just went to Xpels web site and ordered a 2 oz bottle of cleaner and a 16 oz bottle of sealant. Even checked out with free shipping.

by the way...do NOT use a clay mitt.
I tried it....whoops.
Thankfully I didn't damage my film too badly. 98% of it "healed" when I put warm/hot water on it. Was all dull and looked terrible. Only on small area of marring that you can't see unless you get right up on it and know where to look. My installer checked it out and said not worth a whole new piece...soooo. I got lucky there.
NO clay mitt.

Front end protection ?
Is there a real more long life or better paint protection, I get tizzy with Durashield, or Xpel and the DIY spray on. I don't want that. I need something that will outlive myself and look good doing it. This is a one time, expensive job and I need to be sure I picked the right one. I'm not looking to start a fight here, just answers. Thank you !

I had Xpel installed on our 2013 Vette & Huper Optik performa 35 installed on our 2016 Toyota Highlander.
Both were professionally installed when the vehicles were new. No problems with either of them. (no yellowing or edges rolling up).
I honestly do not see any difference in either product.
My advice is to shop around, compare prices and warranty and ask the installer which product he would recommend (or use) on his vehicle.
Hope this helps.
