Default C-Magic Ceramic

Has anyone used C Magic Radiant ceramic coating? I would be very interested in your thoughts and experience with this product.

Update:
After talking to the chemist at C-Magic I ordered the Radiant coating and the Detail Spray Wax. I now have several coats of Radiant on my black C-6 after a very detailed correction and polish. My observation is this stuff is great! The ease of application and removal is excellent and the slickness and shine is outstanding. The protection against holograms and spiderwebbing is also superb. The correct use if Radiant is application after the final polish, wait 24 hours and lay on as many coats as you want (24 hours between coats). The spray wax can be used over the Radiant or vise-versa. I have also used it over Wolfgang 3.0 sealer without any adverse affects. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the update. I'm hoping mine Ceramic arrives soon before I head to AZ where I keep my C7. When it was delivered at the Museum they prepped it with C Magic and I loved the slickness that stayed with it for many washings. I detailed my wife's car with C Magic wax yesterday and was blown away with the slickness I had forgotten about. I did my daily driver with Zaino the day before and no contest in the "slick" comparison.

Im using the C-Magic Radiant on all 3 of my cars. I find the stuff to be the best wax/coating I have ever used and I have tried a lot of products over the years. I was a long time Zaino user

Before I bought the Radiant I tried the Top Coat F11, it seemed to work well, but within 2 weeks it seemed to be totally gone from the paint.

I found that with the Radiant my cars stay much cleaner and seem to clean themselves in the rain. Bugs wipe off with no problem. On my C7 the amount of dust/dirt that sticks to the rear fascia is greatly reduced.

I also use the Radiant on glass and wheels, it works similar to RainX when driving in the rain. The wheel also stay much cleaner.

Before I did my cars I washed them with Dawn, though their instructions say it can be used over wax.

I must say I'm not easily impressed with wax products, the Radiant has me impressed...

Is this a sealant or a ceramic paint coating? I assume sealant.

It is billed as a ceramic coating but to be sure I would contact Kermitt at C-Magic. He is the chemist and should be able to answer your question.

A 16 oz bottle will do about 20 corvettes with a single coat or about 10 full size sport utilities single coat. I have 12 coats on one of my black cars and still have a little under half a bottle left. At $40 for 16 oz is really not too bad given the number of cars or coats you can get out of a bottle.

I've had my bottle for a month now and have yet to "splash" some. I need to get off my butt and wash my wifes car that I Cmagic-ed recently and try it!

Okay, I washed her car and spread on a layer of Radiant. I'm still figuring out the most effective application method.....I sprayed it on a panel and rubbed it around and let it dry and also tried spraying it on an applicator. Looks nice of course. I'll have to see how it ages.

What you need to do is use a new 4 inch foam pad and using a very small amount. Apply by hand in a circular overlapping motion. Do not apply by machine because it will flash too quick. What I do is put it on two panels and then go back and remove it from the first panel. It only needs to set and haze for about 2 to 3 minutes. It should cure for about 12 hours before putting another coat on . I can do a C-6 corvette in about 40 minutes taking my time.

I'm using one of these with a 4" thin white Lake Country pad.

Kermit at C-magic recommends using a foam pad due to the product holding ability without absorption of the product into the pad. The technique would be exactly the same. Only do one or two panels at a time by hand for the two minute flash on the product. The friction of the application motion is what activates the product. A DA application would cause the product to flash immediately which is not a good thing.

Has anyone used Radiant on the wheels? Does it seem to help with the accumulation of brake dust?

Washed the wife's car again and added a layer of Radiant with a 3" foam pad with handle shown in post #15. Went on sweet and came off sweeter......I love the Matador Red Lexus color.
