Default Keeping a Corvette in a rough neighborhood

Hey cats.

Question for you guys!

I am a college student who just recently bought an awesome C4. I am getting ready to graduate this winter with my bachelors.

I live in an apartment in my college town, and it can be a little sketchy. I do however, still have most of my stuff at my parents house who do live in a good neighborhood with a garage I could use.

I would love to bring this car to school, but I am terrified of it getting too much attention from the wrong people. Anyone have any experience having a car covered all day or living in an apartment with a nice Vette?

My apartment isn't known for shootings, vandalism, theft, any of that stuff. But it is a college apartment.

You guys think it is worth a shot, or should I keep this thing at home?

Its just such a damn fun car. Can't get over it. Perfect summer car.

Keep it at home and enjoy it on the weekends. It is not worth taking a chance on vandalism or theft in a marginal neighborhood.

Definitely keep it at home! Otherwise it will likely not end up so nice or you may come out one morning to find it isn't there anymore.

My first corvette was stolen right after I moved to a sketchy neighborhood. I had graduated from college a few weeks earlier and moved to start grad. school.

You'll just be worried about it all the time if you park it @ the apt.

Either leave it and your parents OR find a place where you can keep the car in a garage out of sight

Keep your mind on the books! I had a vette in college and my studies suffered.

My first Vette I lived in an apt with covered parking but I was always peaking out the window to keep an eye on it anytime I heard a noise....

I let everyone who wanted too check it out though, figured better to show it to them then make it forbidden fruit and then they want it worse or do something bad to it.

Needless to say next apt had a garage that I kept it in out of sight.

get comprehensive (glass and rental too!)coverage with 0 deductible and bring er home.
Dont worry about what the cars worth and justify saving $20 a mo get good coverage.

Its worth it believe me..had 3 cars vandalized BAD meaning totaled this yr if we didnt have it would have been bad.

Unflrtunately theres always some ahole whos gotta take their failures out on your ride.

this can happen in any neighborhood, too. we live in a pretty decent one the ahole lives in our bldg.
Ones in the paint shop now, going to have to park it at a friends house and drive the hoopty til we move

Good luck man.
