Default Wheel protection

Just picked up 2017 GS last Thursday. What would be best to use on wheels to help protect them and to help with cleaning off the dreaded brake dust I read about . Wax ,sealant, coating ? I have used Blackfire products in the past and have a supply . Would sealant be enough or coating. Thanks in advance,Dave

I know you're asking about cleaning your wheels, but what you really need to do is buy a set of Powerstop Z26 pads. Do a search here on them and you'll find there is nothing better available to keep dust to a minimum. You'll spend more in a few months on stuff to clean your wheels as the pads will cost ( well under 150.00 complete set of 4) and you'll not need to clean your wheels any more than the rest of your car. I drove mine for a few months with the stock pads and the difference is amazing. Definitely worth doing!

I recommend using Wheel Wax. I've been using it for a few years now and the results are pretty amazing. It's not inexpensive, but it really works. You probably know how dirty BMW wheels get - I use it on my wifes BMW every 6 weeks or so and all it takes when washing is to hit the wheel with water and a microfiber towel and the wheel look perfect.

Easy to apply, let dry to a haze, then buff off. Use 2 coats on the front wheels, when first starting to use it.

Works great on the Vette's chrome wheels, makes them look like a mirror.
