Default Xpel Repair

I have a very small section of Xpel ultra that was scraped by something and it's lost it's shine. Does anyone know of a way to bring the shine back? I don't want to spend hundreds to replace the bumper section for a 1/2 inch non shiny area. There must be something that can bring it back. Thanks.

Start least agreesive to most. I would recommend the following: hot water, hair dryer, heat gun. Inspect in between each to see if the shine comes back in between.

Also you can machine polish Xpel just go on a slower setting (3-4.vs 5-6) instead of heat technique.

Hope that helps.

Xpel has replied on the forum many times, very customer friendly I would reach out to them so you don't cause it to be worse. They have a web site, see if there is a certified installer around you...

I just went down two threads and they answered a members question... They might chime in here

Hard to give advice without seeing a picture, even after that no telling if something will fix it or not.

I know most of the newer films have self healing top layer so I would try lightly with a heat gun first and see if any of it can fix itself. If it is scraped through those top layers then it probably won't be able to be fixed but you can try a very mild polish, however if you go to aggressive or too long on that spot you can make it all worse.
