+1

I've used meguires mirror glaze for years. It's forgiving, easy to use, and gives a nice shine.

Hmm, even at 75 I try to avoid...

I use Turtle Wax Ice on my car and it leaves a great shine and lasts a long time. I have also used Adam’s Polishes products and they do a very good job on the car.

Big improvement from the days of polishing up the flintstone mobile:

Meguiars ultimate fast finish

"Product Features:

Protects for a full year
No buffing required
Spray and wipe your way to a shinier, protected paint
Maximizes water beading paint protection, gloss, & slickness
Revolutionary no buff formula-simply spray & wipe"

My add-ons: NO/NO whitening of black plastic/rubber!
In florida sun (baking) plus overnight dew (salt water gummy) lasts about 2 months, not a year as advertised.

Literally spray on and wipe excess off, saves time from the old school: first application, then buffing out. No wax cleanup from accidental application on black plastic or rubber parts.

Expensive at $13.99, but how much is your time worth?

^^^ $13.99 is not expensive for a wax/sealant at all, that's actually on the very low end. And Walmart is clearing this product out right now and if you can find it still, it's priced at around $5 a can! I grabbed the last two cans from the Niagara Falls, NY Walmart when it first went on clearance at $9 per can. I'm still working with the first can that I bought, I've done 10 coats (on 3 different cars) and the can still feels half full. So one can goes a very long way!

Like you said, it's awesome that it leaves no white residue behind! I have always hated that leftover residue that got in all the nooks and crannies. And even if it only lasts a couple of months, applying it is a 15-20min process, so redoing it more often is a piece of cake.

On my cars I prefer Zymol or Swissvax. I do have some CarPro CQuartz UK that I plan on using once the weather warms up.

For unique tools, I like Adam's Polishes.

The best bug and tar remover that I've tried has been Stoner's.

The only problem I have in using Meguiars products are their petrochemicals. That, and they're awful pricey for being petrochem..

I switched to water-based (non-petrochemicals) technology over 10+ years ago. Much better results, i.e. shine intensity, less time in application, no harmful fumes, no greasy clean-up, no oily finish that attracts dust, etc.
