Adams polishes.. WOW!! A little OT..
That’s all I can say. I used their heavy correcting compound and then the correcting polish on my 20 year old 69 Z/28 paint.
Let me say, this thing looks amazing! Check out the two pics. It’s a black car and no the first one is not a mirror!!
This is looking into the quarter panel..sun is behind me.
I have to install the trunk lid and final wipe it. Forgive the tires, they are going to be replaced this week.. From 1997!!

That sure does look like a mirror. Did you do this by hand or use a buffer?

A regular ole buffer! Not one of the new dual action ones either. Just a regular buffer. I used a wool pad first, then a foam pad for the finish.
Thank you for the compliment.

Im blown away at how awesome the final outcome is. Customer for life..
if you don’t see the link, click vendor directory under sponsor ads. Search Adams polishes.
The website will be there. I used the heavy correcting compound and then the finishing polish. Blue/orange.
I have some of the white (final step) polish too, but I haven’t used it yet. Didn’t think I needed to. But if I do, I’ll update.
Anyway this was done with an old orbital buffer as well. Not one of the new DA action buffers. Again BLOWN AWAY.. customer for life!!

I like their products and have settled on the car wax but the detail spray didn't live up to claims...
It left a smeary sheen on the car and required wiping and more wiping (not exactly a "quick" detailer)...

I use a LOT of different detail sprays. mainly to try many out to see what works best for me, but also because I go through a lot of it when keeping both of my cars clean all year long. I am a big fan of 3D Products, and was surprised to discover that the 3D "Final Touch" detail spray works just as well as the Adam's spray, smells just as amazing, also contains a small amount of carnauba in it, but seems to flash faster without streaking or smearing. It also is a LOT cheaper. A gallon is like $18.
I have changed up my detail spray regiment, though. Tired of all the streaking and hazing involved with the wax-infused sprays, so I just use fully-synthetic detail sprays now. I use Kenotek "Showroom Shine" and Chemical Guys "Extreme Slick Synthetic". At car shows, when the paint is in the hot sun, I use Wolfgang "Uber Rinseless Wash" in a detail spray dilution ratio. The Wolfgang never streaks or hazes. I will use a spray carnauba wax (or the Adam's detail spray) after a wash to maintain the protection, but only when in the garage or shade with no chance of streaking.
