I ordered some from The Rag Company a few years ago on the recommendation from a well known internet detailer (The Junkman):-). Can't remember the exact names but I believe one was the waffle weave for drying, and a super plush blue one. They definitely didn't "catch" on my hand when I pulled them across, which I liked. Plus...they were cheap!!:-)

They all have a function and I go through a ton of Costco microfibers but I would only use them on a painted surface that has protection on it and only within its first wash or two tops, after that they get relegated to cleaning towels or for household cleaning chores.

They are selling a 16x16" 400GSM towel made from 80% polyester and 20% polymide for $2.97 each.
TowelPros sells a 16x16" 500GSM (more plush) towel made from 70% polyester and 30% polymide (a softer blend) for just $2.25 each.
Make sure you research the towels before buying. As shown above, you can easily find better towels for less money!

A decent step up from the Costco towels without breaking the bank are these from Chemical Guys sold through Amazon. Much better for detailing.

Good price for 12, but I found those 380gsm CG gold plush towels to be very "linty", even after properly washing them. I was hoping they were the same gold plush towels as the ones Autogeek sells, but they are definitely from a different vendor. Hopefully, they can fix the issue. Maybe I just received a bad batch.
