Default C6 Wide Body Front Fender FLARE EXTENSION

Flare Extension on C6 ZR1,Z06 and Grand Sport catches a lot of Rock Chips

The outermost portion shows wear when at car shows and I'd like to "correct"

Does anybody reading have experience sanding and polishing these to look better ????

New ones cost $53 each plus shipping

Are those flare extensions factory specs or custom flare extensions?
They have those transparent mudguard attachments that clip onto fender.

The "Flare Extension" is the OE description for GM # 20882668 (Right Side)

This is the stock piece that adjoins the painted Fender on ALL the Wide Body C6's

I am wanting to learn if the marring and rock chipping can be sanded/polished away

I concluded that NOTHING can be done to make these BLACK PLASTIC
parts look like new after being dinged up with Tire Thrown Road Rocks etc...

So I ordered NEW ones from a online GM dealer calling his web site
TRUNK MONKEY....Approx $115 for the set including shipping

NOT arrived yet

But won't the same thing happen again? Keep us posted on outcome. What about the other factory ones you mentioned for $53.00?
Mudguards wouldn't help?
