I need to remove a item from my center console that was attached with two sided
Gorilla tape. Before I break anything,does anyone have any tricks to remove it?

Use a hair dryer to soften and then use your finger to rub the residue off. It will come off in little ***** as you rub. If your console is painted I would recommend not using Goo Gone or any other such adhesive remove because it may very well remove the paint. You might test a spot to see if the paint is effected. If you have the GM carbon fiber it may be more resistant to the adhesive remover but test it first. Gorilla tape is pretty tough stuff, at the end of the day you may have to repaint or replace the console depending how well bonded the tape is and if it pulls the finish off when removed.

WD-40 might do the trick.
