Wash: microfiber restore as your cleaner - nothing else and don’t mix with any other types of laundry items
Dry: never use anything above low on the dryer - no drier sheets.

Filtered blowers are overrated. They only filter the air being pulled into the blower. You are still blowing ambient air against the finish, which is still a lot safer than anything you encounter when driving your car on the road. Leaf blowers are perfectly fine, and lots of pro detailers use them.

FWIW I like synthetic chamois over leather chamois.
Waffle pattern over smooth, I have no insights.
But, a leaf blower or Master Blaster is much better option for drying.
Followed by high quality microfiber towels for the detailed/ final drying.
Less touching (wiping) and dragging over the paint the better; I could say.
Especially with black painted cars

I also agree, chamois are bad for your paint.
