I use a Cobra clay mitt. Works very well, and never needs replacing. If you drop it on the ground, you just clean it.

Cobra even uses a C5Z in their ad picture. LOL

I used to use a claybar. Last time (a few weeks ago) I tried a small clay towel that I thought worked great.

I stopped using clay bars and started using a Chemical Guys Clay Block, similar to FYRARMS choice, if you drop it you rinse it off, simple as that. It also lasts a lot longer than traditional clay bars.

My favorite used to the Pinnacle's Ultra Poly Clay bar. Once the Nanoskins came out the clay bar went into retirement. The nanoskin makes claying much easier for me.

FWIW Comment.
I understood there where 3 grades of car clay.

If the car is already smooth, I'd think the softest is best.
If the car surface has been ignored then I'd think the hard is called for.

Not sure which vendor has more facts.
Me, I just use Mothers or Meguires from local Walmart et al, which may be too aggressive.
May also be that the choice of clay lubricant is as important.

OP, enjoy you freshly polished Vette.

Bought one today at Autozone. Only did about a panel on my Lexus. Worked good.

For light to medium decontamination, the mitt works fine.

If you are claying your DD Highlander you don't need to spend a lot of money. Just get the Mothers clay and mix up some Dawn for the lubricant.
