Well that's not true...I think you meant to say you didn't make a pass above 8 mph!

We're trying to get a bunch of the boys out to Countyline next Saturday, 7/19. They redid the track, concrete for the first 330 and moved the burnout box, made the track wider, and improved the turnoff A LOT so hopefully you won't get a flat this time. I actually tied my best ever Moroso 1/8 there last week, in the summer heat!

Hope you can make it Bob.

oh...and the bathrooms there are STILL better than the ones they used to have at Moroso! LOL I think I could smell it when they tore those Moroso bathrooms down a few months ago....from Dade county! LOLOL Can't wait for our new facility. Gonna be great.

oh and one more thing...I don't want to hear you complaining it's too far...I drive farther than that to Moroso!

I don't remember what the extensions cost, however I'm betting not much. Anyway, I have a sealed package of two PN 1290 (I stupidly ordered an extra set) which you can have. PM an address and I will send them first thing Monday morning.

Thanks Bob, but my order should be here on Tues...

Some have told me,(I drive 80 miles one way to the track) that my ride is going to go to sh*t, but after reading the posts, it sounds like I should be OK..

Thats basically my car.. To the track & back home..
10 miles city then 70 miles hiway each way..

On occasion I drive my car on the street with this set-up. I noticed no real difference when on the road. Now keep in mind, down here most roads are straight and flat. We have no potholes either so my results might be a bit different than yours.

So you like it too Bob? Have you left your Swaybar on?
Damn, looks like another "Cheap" mod in my future.. I think this could be a traction mod for me.. between this and the new track at Moroso.. I just may see my 11.9X Run

Charlie I have YET to race with it. YET being the key word.... I have NO SWAY BAR Honestly since we don't have real bad roads, you can't tell any difference between them and what I had before. If this helps me better my 60' for the price they can't be beat.

Thanks Bob, I am more interested in how she handles around town.. Mine is not a daily driver... Mostly weekend drives and to the track... Thinking this should even help me when driving on street tires if I decide to get a bit agressive..

Hey guys !! I'm still in Honduras developing beachfront property.

My tried and true Lakewood shock mod works......
On the street in Florida you can feel lift on accel and around tight corners. I drag raced my car and am not a corners guy. You can feel a little diffence with pot holes. Then again, you should be driving slow over them anyways.

My 60' went to a 1.40 with my loose converter and nitrous (completely stock motor).

The sway bar must be removed or detached for this mod.

The only thing I should have recommended before was to make sure your rear shocks are not old and spungy. You need a firm stock shock to plant the tires better. then again, I cannot complain with my car finally hooking up at the track.

The extentions are roughly $7.00 at discount or Ato Zone and are required so the shock does not over extend.

GOOD LUCK !!

Got them installed 2 weeks ago...

I've used them at the track for 5 runs and I don't see any real difference between these & the stock shocks I had.

On the road, at hiway speed, it does get a little floaty.

I may try the HALs "R" series shock.
See if that helps..

Sorry to disappoint, but I was really hoping to get my front end up, and I just didn't see or feel any noticeable difference.

Same as with the base stock shocks..
I'm thinking it might have something to do with their rebound..
(lift/extension)
Its basically non existent...
With the stock shocks, the car really lifted the front end & squatted nicely. With these on, its like nothing is happening...

These are shorter than the stock ones, and maybe using the extenders, has something to do with it. Not sure, but my car launches flat with these.

I might try the QA1 Stocker Star ''R'' Series, but I haven't been able to find anyone who runs them.

Something has to be wrong. review my avatar pic.... This was with a stock motot and nitrious. My rear shocks were stock. as you can see, plenty of rear squat and the front WAY UP !! That was a 1.40 60' time - my best ever.

Very Possible they sent the wrong ones? Apparently they also make a 70/30 as well..

By the way.. I am plannning this mod too.. I still do not understand the reason for disconnecting the front swaybar.. Swaybars do not restrict the even up and down movement.. Only uneven.. i.e cornering..

When I jack the front of my car up there is a huge amount of movement. All the drag shocks are doing is to allow that to happen with the least amount of resistance on the upswing..

How much more lift can you get without a swaybar connected?

I hear santa doesn't bring new gifts unless you put the old ones to use!!!

Right now my C5 is raised due to lack of heads/intake weight!! Once I add that weight back I think I will go to these shocks for drag and daily use. I will have to switch back for road course though. Hmmm, do they have a wing nut kit??
