Default WTF! 11.04@125.06mph new best MPH's though:(

Well I tried Cecil again last nite due to the weather looked like it wouldn't be to bad. Started off in the 70's and lowered down to 65deg's by the time i was leaving. It did get more humid as the nite went on but oh well can't be perfect weather every day.
OK this is where it gets interesting. The only mods I did from last week when trapping 122/123/124mph was I had a little more gas and added 10oz of TORCO to approx 7gallons of 93 octane. Tires aired up to 14psi warm-approx 16psi hot.
My first run shortly after i got there with the car and I think the clutch did haze a little bit.

Run#1
60ft-1.519
330ft-4.596
1/8th-7.149
1/8th mph-97.51
1000ft-9.343
1/4mi-11.167
1/4mph 125.12

Run#2
60ft-1.624-I thought I spun or the clutch slipped on this one but people said no spinning tires
330ft-4.681
1/8th-7.202
1/8th mph-99.39< New best MPH
1000ft-9.383
1/4mi-11.183
1/4mph 126.83<New best MPH

Run#3
60ft-1.546 -not sure if the clutch gave a little on that run aswell
330ft-4.565
1/8th-7.075
1/8th mph-98.86
1000ft-9.244
1/4mi-11.045
1/4mph 125.06

On all the runs the front stayed up pretty well. Hopefully the video came out ok and I post that up here soon. So you can critique my POS!!! I can't explain the nearly 2-3mph pick up in the car at all. I hope I dont have to run Torco all the time. My shifting did improve slightly but not that MUCH!

I did weigh my roll my car with the roll bar, harness, helmet and mounts for 5th pt of harness. Car now weighs 3060lbs w/o me in the car with approx 1/4tank of gas. I added approx 55lbs to the car so not to bad IMO and the car was still able to muster a 11.04et with the added weight.

Your clutch might be fading as you go down the track. Give it plenty of time to cool off between runs. Also, try to power shift the car. The MPH is there for a high 10 so don't get too discouraged yet. I would probably lower the tire pressure down a bit as well, but I'm running Bias E/T Streets.

Not even LOL, probably 5 degrees cooler out and he would've done it.
Even if he could've just matched the shifting of his 11.04 pass with the launch of the 11.16 pass it would've happened but like Tom said, the clutch might not've allowed that.

On your 2nd run that should have been a 10.I think the clutch or the driver and mechanic can't decide when to shift the car.
I hate the fights between the driver and the tuner
I turn 1.59 in the 60' and run 10.70 all day long. When I run a 1.39 then I know when my head gets slammed it is a 9.I looked over some of my slips and if you hit 99 to 100 mph in the 1/8 that should be a 10.I see you did 99 and that should be it. I would change lanes and see what you run.I would also try about 40 lbs of air in the front tires.
Good runs though. If you were running a addative then the motor was too rich and I would try disconecting the batterie when you get to the track to clear the info in it and then make your runs.Remember the computer is tring for good gas milage.

Thanks for your input guys. Tsab I usually run 12-13psi in there but the car was hooking that hard on some launches that I felt i needed more air and that worked great IMO.
REDC4-i'll put more air in the fronts to help with rolling resistance and see what happens there. Usually when I pull the battery cable I feel the car doesnt want to run aswell till gets through its learn process after 50miles give or take driving situations. If you think the fuel additive is helping due to the car is rich how do you mean the computer is going for best fuel economy? If its to rich isnt that creating poor fuel economy?

The computer at launch is working to maintain the correct fuel mixture.I have found the computer is not always right, try data loging .
When you are at full throttle the comuter doesnot work to keep it simple.Your 60 is good and the mph shows you are making hp.You seem to be losing it after the 60',I would say the 330 to 1000 you need to pick up just a little ,is the car going streight or are you going to the right like these cars like to do?I installed the cold air intake in front of the license plate and that did it for me ,not enough air to the throttle body. What ever you do don't remove the air filter the car will go slower.
