Power Usage of TH400 VS TH350?
How much HP could I free up pulling my TH400 and installing a Transbraked 4500 stall TH350?

The T brake has the potential of helping more than anything.

I would guess closer to the .2. Of course the TH350 doesn't weigh 100 to 200 pounds (100# is worth a 1/10) less than the TH400. The bigger difference is in the power they absorb. The TH400 has a rather heavy drum that has to slow, stop, and reverse directions at the 1-2 shift. At 7500 rpms, that takes a lot of energy. It can become a reliability problem, at those rpms also.
Either trans can have a trans brake and a 4500 rpm stall, So I don't understand the significance of "installing a Transbraked 4500 stall TH350?". In fact the same converter will work for either trans.

I should have said that the existing 400 also has the 4500stall, trans brake, reverse pattern manual shift, and 8 inch TC
