My Dad passed away last night
A many of you know, my dad had ALS(Lou Gehrigs Disease). He has had the disease for about 5 years now. He had stem cell therapy done out of the country over the summer. At that point he had lost the use of his arms and legs. On Monday of this week, he walked again. 12 steps, while we held his arms. He was getting better in so many ways, yet the most important things were unaffected at this point.
He waited for all of his children to leave for the night, and stopped breathing 20 minutes later. Even in his condition, he was too proud of a man. He is and always will be my best friend and will be missed dearly.
He missed racing so much at the corvette challenge with everyone.

Shawn, I'm really sorry to hear this, your dad was a really great guy. Your lucky to have had a friend and father to go racing with, and although he couldn't make it to the track for the last season or two, we all know how exited he was when you would do well. Hell I thought he was going to jump threw the phone when you ran 9.8!
He will be missed
Our condolences from the entire ECS crew.

Shawn,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your Dad, and your family.
Your Dad is now in a better place standing next to my Dad cheering us both on as we race our Corvettes.
Always remember the good times you and your Dad had together.
That alone gets me through each and every day and puts a smile on my face.
