you car sounds similar to mine but you have more power.
I would say try a lower rpm. My stall is 4400ish but I launch at 2100 tops. Any thing over that and I can blow them away.
the qa1s are fronts only? give 1 and 0 a try and see if that helps.
What are you running in fuel? You might need a little more weight over the rears and you might benefit from running more fuel if you are running it low. I like it around 1/2 tank.
You might also look to a taller tire. I have not had much success recently with 26" tall tires. I run the MT ET Street Radial II in the 295/50/16 variety and love them. The only time I have not hooked is when I goo too light in the rear weight wise.

you may be able to tune chassis, shocks, shock settings, weight ect.and make those 26" tall tires work but the fact remains a car going 139 mph is just too much for a tire that short. And get it consistant week to week and diff tracks....you know the answer it's in your post "friends said spinning the tires" want rock solid proof video tape your car next time out

Try a full tank of gas
Assure a good burnout......to much turns them greasy
launch from idle
How old are the tires
Have you tried radials........my 97' likes them more than bias
