But Boy Oh Boy, that 11.50 title was a nail biter!
That is close!
Two great racers and somebody has to win.

Thank you, I'm still shaking think about winning 3 in a row is hard to get to one final and win with the competitive we have and to place 2nd in point, I did meet my goals for year, thank to everyone and congrats to all the winners and Rob on runner-up.
Thank-You

Thanks for making the post Eric..
The stars must have been aligned yesterday for so many scenarios to fall into place for me..
#1 Qualifier, us on opposite sides of the ladder, BOTH of us winning round after round until the Final.. Just unreal..
I was hoping someone would take out Eric early, but he's just too good, and I will say luck was on my side.
An .035 light & spot on 11.506 in the Final sealed the deal, I still can't believe the 11.52 held as #1 Qualifier as in so many past races, an 11.50 or 11.51 takes it.
Great racing vs Eric all year, and unreal killer .00x lights the last 3 events by Paul, make this series as competitive, maybe even more so than the brackets!
Congrats to Ralph, Steve & Dave, as well..!

But knowing I had plenty more in the car and not wanting to go under I'd lifted just before the stripe (my 110mph trap speed proves this), had I just lifted a millisecond or two later it could've been a .51 changing the entire outcome of your's and Eric's season.
But the shoulda woulda couldas and ifs/buts mean nothing in the big picture, you guys (and Farley, and others) are some seriously skilled racers and helped make this season and series what it is today.

Yes that is quite rare in our class...oddly enough I had qualified so badly on the first attempt (11.86) that I knew I had to pick it up on the next one and did so with an 11.534, good enough for 3rd spot.

Yeah I had a coulda woulda should of my own. Q1 I went under 11.48. Not wanting to go under in Q2 I lifted about 100 ft from the stripe and went 11.559 @ 108. Good enough for the #4 spot which at the time gave me a 21 point lead which is a two round advantage over El. I TOTALLY forgot about the 5 bonus points which when factored in only gave me a 16 point advantage (only one round). The kicker -- had I not lifted I would have ran an 11.50x easily cinching the #1 qualifying spot. Woulda coulda shoulda.

Congrats to all the winners.
Ralph........3 in a row......where did that come from???? With all the things that can go wrong, winning 3 in row is quite an accomplishment.
Ellis, that was one clutch performance you pulled off yesterday. You had to sweep the table and you did.....unbeleivable finish to the 11.50 points series.
Congrats to Dave S. Too bad we didn't get to see the Dave v Dave run for the championship. Would have made it that much sweeter for the victor. Good job to both of you for supporting the series.

It was ended last week doesn't matter what order the rest fall in ... "If your not first...your last!"

It was all over three races ago ago for me, Tommy still had a shot up to two races ago.
Tommy and I were both talking about that very thing (first loser) at the track when we were trying to figure out the rest of the standings.
Its like a Silver medal in the Olympics, who cares.
Or maybe we are just sore losers?
