I do need to run my Z28 to get it ready for the GM EFI series at E-town but I'm not quite ready yet (still has the snow tires/wheels on it LOL) so I might be down there in a few weeks maybe.
I also heard there was a threat of rain tomorrow?

Sunday is the Daytona 500.
It's also the day of the Thrust Performance gathering in South Amboy NJ (where I hope Daytona will be playing on their TV ).

Good morning to ya all after your long winter nap. Enjoy and be safe. I'll be racing a bit further south on Saturday. Funny how a track 1200 miles from Atco has the exact same rollout and starting line feel.

Were you the one I broke an axle against in the import/domestic race?

Perhaps a rematch is in order. If I remember correctly, I had him on the tree pretty good. Damn stock axles.

Yes you did... you were on a roll that day...

Unfortunate breakage brought it all to an end.

You had the Mustang correct? If so yes. Cut a .000 light the pass afterwards, but a rematch could be fun.

Rumor has it that you took a hacksaw and cut 1/2 way into the axle the night before. Just to show the import racers that an Americian made car can break axles too.

The other rumor is that your were trying for a PB in 60' times by letting the rear tire break the 60' beam in front of the car.

I was chatting with Bud two weeks ago and your name came up.

I was trying to be consistent that day so I was only launching on the 2 step at 1500rpms and dialed 11.1. Should go 10.7 on sunday if the stock clutch wants to cooperate.

I like those rumors. Takes away from the fact that it was mere stupidity in using stock axles behind a big block (even a mild one).

As for Bud, I gotta take his class. Trying to get Pete to sign up with me and save $50, but so far he's not too interested in becoming a winning bracket racer. I told Bud you were one of the guys I bother on the forums for advice.

I've also been chatting with Dave Harvey quite a bit. I was at his compound the other day for a good couple hours. He said he wants to put a carbed LS motor in his wagon...looking to run high 11s

Shhhh. I don't want Edgar to know. It's hard enough getting the guy to race me running 11.20s

When I finally get my car finished, I'll be slower than all you guys, except maybe Kaz.

But, I'm not chasing ET, I'm chasing the win light.

I'm gonna take a class, just not sure if it'll be with Bud or someone else.

Do you think you might be ready in time for E-town March 24th (if your work schedule even permits it I mean)?

I'm even thinkin' about maybe 'Street Wars' on the 11th.
