Default New PB - Sooooo Close To 10s NA....

2nd time out with the car in its current configuration. (402 LS2, CNC LS3 top end, 3.90 gears, M6 trans) I wanted to get down to 10.99 NA, but it wasn't in the cards....worked my way down from a 11.7 down to a 11.23. Now I just gotta get it to 60' for ****....

Great to see someone working on getting down the track quickly!

Here's a great thread with some very solid tips from RobZ and others. The OP went from I think 11.7's to 10.6's if my memory serves with some driving tips.

Just read thru that thread, wow a LOT of info. Going to have to read it a few times to really digest it as I wasn't really understanding what the graphs were and such. Going to be ordering HP Tuners in the next few weeks to start data logging, have already set up my GoPro to see the track, the dash, ect....

I do know my tune is off, since it was tuned I have put 3.90s in it and 2" primary tube headers with 3" x-pipe. Plus I just feel like the tune isn't spot on. Previously it put down 476 @ 6200 and ran 11.7 @ 122. I know by the way it is running now I have to be over 500whp and it pulls so much harder.

Re-ringing it this winter as my cranking compression is about 20% low and my plugs are oily. That should free up a good 50hp (I hope lol). Also looking to possibly switch to the Edelbrock Cross Ram or Super Vic with DBW 4150 throttle body - with a cam appropriate for the intake I choose. I will get down to mid/low 10s NA.

How's your leak down?

You might consider installing a vacuum pump, if you're going for a record you might want looser rings and get the seal from the pump.

leak down tester isn't here yet. Based on the math, my cranking compression should be 220ish psi, 6 cylinders are 160 - 165 and 2 are 185. The plugs being oily tell me it has to be the rings.

I have thought of a vacuum pump, but I dunno. Researching it for now. Thinking maybe an electric vacuum pump might be the easiest to package.

Elec won't work...been there done that (will go into details if your interested). Just save your self some money and time. Buy the best vanes style pump you can afford and be done with it. And crank that puppy up...I covered this in your other thread.
