I am in the process of having a 2-car shop built behind my home, and I didn't consider trying to attend this event, but Dan called me Friday evening, and while I won't spoil his report, he did tell me that the event had a very high and unexpected car count (many more walk-up racers than pre-entered), and, despite losing Friday to the weather, the New Year's National has been very well received, with plans already being made for next year

I caught some of the live feed yesterday and saw Dan and a number of my fellow Orlando Speed World racers. I found the format of separating the no box / footbrake cars between transbrake and no transbrake (they call it "true footbrake") interesting. I don't usually go to out of town races but this looks like fun and I may consider it for next year.
