And it's still going to cost me a fortune to buy it as I have to get new brakes, etc that will work with the new K-member. I wish I had know all these facts earlier so I'm putting it out there for the masses right now.

I would absolutely love to hear about it. Why not post it here as it seems like what you have to say on this subject should be required reading for anybody considering making their Corvette more drag race capable and even for hard core street performance guys. Thank you for your willingness to share your experiences.

I'll mention 5 then very safe and plentiful ;

1- it's not all that streetable
2- it won't be able to make road course turns
3- it's NOT bolt on ( yet it could be with simple step)
4- it's not lighter then stock
5- it's expensive

The only benefit I see over stock is I slide in-between it to work on car while engine out !!!

Default New point

Few years back when car project was still headed for curves I ordered new clutch package said to be lightweight ;; well aluminum flywheel was ofcourse but I couldn't figure why car wasn't any quicker ,; I chalked it up to engine being tired ; after opening up engine and seeing it was in mere perfect and more headacraching ; I finally pulled out new old clutch set up and realized the pressure plate weighs 10 plus lbs over stock !!!!

Experts please chime in where a this pressure plate coulld effect acceleration !?

Default Deleting coil pack brackets

Allowed me to scatter them to clear 2" header better and saved bit of weight

Glad to see it coming back together. What kind of weight do you expect when done? 2800 w/fluids but w/o driver?

Not sure as I may have to/want to add more stuff as I test and tune it !! I was at 2550 last season before this strip down ; I did add chute and this engine Alot heavier then stock ls6 !!!

I'm sure it will be light but won't brag til it runs true and straight down the track
