I raced in another Summit points event at Orlando today...weather was lovely, high of 83 and a light breeze...

First time shot at 3:30PM..I wanted to hit the tree a bit harder and I did...I was .002 red and went 6.65...I got my second shot at 5:00PM and went 6.70 spinning out of the hole...damn!...I had a .020 tree...

They call us up for first round at 6:50PM and I get a buddy in his 70 Dart...he is very good and dials 6.95...I guess and put 6.67 on mine and off we go...I had another .020 tree to his .081 and it is over...I scrape 7 mph and go 6.73 for the win...

Second round is called at 8:20PM...I get another friend in his 80 Camaro...he dials 6.84 to my 6.67...we both leave green and I got him...I rip it at the stripe to tighten things up...I almost over did it taking the stripe by .002...whew!...

My 60' time told me I was heading for a 6.65...I get a street car in round three...it is a Cougar dialed 9.19...I dial 6.65 and have a long wait at the tree...I finally leave green but I cannot catch him...he was .016 on the tree to my lousy .047...I spun again and went 6.70 again...sheesh...

I bought a big tire car so I would hook anywhere...I am not thrilled...the problem is I hooked on three passes and spun on two...yipers!...regardless of the track I should be hooking with my 14 x 32 balonies out back...oh well...I had fun as always...

Next time out I will take 1/2 lb. out of the slicks and go up to 40 lbs. in the front skinnies...we'll see what happens...

At least you were there and going some rounds! I finally have my C5 fixed but Easter weekend family commitments came first. I plan to be at next weekend's "Heads Up" event.

I saw quite a big brush fire up your way last evening. I hope your place was OK.
