Default Heating up the drag radials Nitto vs. Mickey T

Car is a c7 z06 auto bone stock.

In the past I've always used Nitto NT05R, however the Mickey Thompson ET street SS has gotten my attention. 20 x 10.5 rims, 305/35/20.

I know for a fact you almost had to do a John Force smoke show to get the Nittos to hook. Is it the same with the MTs, smoke show, quick burn out, or moderate burn out?

Please don't go off in a tangent where 15 inch rims are better, etc. I'm buying the MTs and am curious about the burnouts.

Call M/T. They have a tire tech that will answer ( Yes, a real person) the questions you have. Proper burnout as well as hot/cold tire pressure. They are very helpful.Be prepared to feel your car hook like never before with these tires!

The only experience I have on these tires is with my friend's chevy SS. I found that a short burnout works much better with them than a long smoky one. If I went too long it was skate city.

When I got it right though it was very nice.

Just get them warm, the car doesn't leave hard enough to need anything more than for them to be a little sticky.

I run 18" Hoosiers on my car and once forgot to turn off TC meaning that I left with absolutely no burnout whatsoever - car still hooked perfectly fine.

The R2 compound M/T's need little to no burnout! When I had 19's I did little tiny burnouts and had no problem.

Agree. Don't need much of a burnout with the Mickey's.
