Transmission blanket on 85
Hi !
Local race tracks in Germany require a trans shield or at least a transmission blanket. My 85 with the L98 is equipped with the DNE 4+3. I ordered a universal transmission blanket at Jegs with 10 layers of ballistic fabric.
Is it possible to install without tilting the engine/ transmission. Has ayone done the installation? I plan to use some header wrap at the nearby exhaust pipes to prevent melting the fabric.
Any thoughts? Thanks !
