We lost a fellow racer at Sonoma Raceway last night. I won't mention his name because the details are not out yet. He was lined up 2 or 3 pairs behind me in comp rod. His car was running 10.30s and he lost control after the finish line. He hit the k-wall and rolled. We all have fun participating in this sport that we cherish, and sometimes in trying to make our cars faster and faster, we lose sight about how dangerous it can be. Take a few moments and check over your cars and if something is not right, make it right before the next race. If during a race, the car gets out of line, get out of it. Life is too precious and we only have one chance at it.

I heard about that. It’s a damn shame. Sorry for your loss.

I’ve wrecked on the track, and I can tell you it’s no fun getting out of shape. I came out ok, but it certainly could have been a lot worse if my wreck was during elims and not time trials...

Y’all be careful out there...
