My best 60' on bias ply (not drag radials) is 1.504. I know there is a little better in it. That was with a 3200 stall and leaving just off idle (1800-2000k rpm) and on the foot brake. I never bettered that time using a 2 step or stalling completely on foot brake.

I am still too scared to try the transbrake. That's when stuff breaks.

1.50, that's still pretty good.
Supposedly this car went a 1.68 or so on the DR's, off the foot brake as well, so I hope i can get into the 1.5XX range.
Probably won't have time to get to the track this fall.

Thanks for your input.

That was last year. My new setup (if i ever get it finished) will have +200hp, 3800 stall. So maybe I can get down to the 1.40x range.

are you stalled?

My best time with a 4L60 and M/T drag radial was 1.34. I had less rwhp than you have. The converter and gearing will have an effect on what you can do.
I had the Yank 4000 and 3.73 gear.

Best set of success with your goals!

Not sure which converter is in the car.
I was told 3000 rpm but not sure which model. It is a Precision.
I'm not too well-versed on autos and converters.
When in DRIVE when throttle is applied, the car pushes forward immediately when on the foot brake.
It doesn't seem to flash but perhaps I am not doing it properly.

The car does have an MSD 2-step installed, set at 2K rpm, but I have not tried it yet.

Thanks for your reply, that gives me hope.
If my car runs even close to that quick at the 60', it may go high 9's.
Stock 3.42's, not sure which converter.

Wow, that's really good.
How much power does your car make?
If I come close to that I'll be thrilled.

Are you asking about people with a similar setup to yours, or just in general?

If someone has a similar setup, as a couple of the guys here do, that is kind of what I am looking for.
An auto and MT ET Street SS drag radials in the C5 chassis, basically.
Curious what the tires are capable of.

That's the kind of time I am looking for, if possible.

Problem is the car is probably around 3300 and I'm 250, so it might not run that number, now that I think about it.
