Default R888(R) grip levels on an unprepared (street) surface?

Straight-line Viper guys tell me these tires are amazing, so I tried some 345/30-19s on my heads/cam C6 Z06. On a good street-style surface the best grip I'm seeing is about 0.89 sustained g (with peaks as high as 0.96) on my PerformanceBox:

My best run is a 10.9 @ 136. If I could launch perfectly (would require a different clutch), this amount of grip should be good for a 1.8x 60' and a 10.7 ET. I haven't dynoed my car yet so I'm not sure what power it's making.

Anyway, I'm fairly underwhelmed by these tires. First gear is hopeless wheelspin, while second can dead hook on a good surface. 0.89 g is good, actually the best I've ever logged out of a front-engine, RWD car on a tire that was't intended for drag racing, but I was seeing 0.85 in my C5 on NT01s and Kumho XSes ten years ago. That car was slightly more (front) heavy than my C6 too.

I'm curious if anyone else here has experience logging longitudinal acceleration on these (or similar) tires on a street surface? I'm interested in dual-purpose tires that work well drag and road racing, and am currently planning to try MPSC2s next. Thanks!
