I run the bullet type round muffs when a racing event required the use of mufflers.Otherwise I run through open headers w/turn down extensions. The overall length is ~20" with a 3" inlet. It lowers the db level a tab. :bb
I purchased them from JC Whitneys.

Re: "Cherry Bomb" muffler's ? (wheelsup)
They're glass pacs
which sound great, but really aren't that efficient.
had sidepipes ( not a corvette, but a 350 chevy ) once that used really long glasspacs
I latter replace them with a true duel exhaust, and was much better off.
You can get header mufflers if you looking for something to just drive it to the track.
My buddy has Cherry Bombs on his car which is almost identical to my setup. They are way too loud! I'm sure glad I don't live near him. I know his neighbors don't like hearing him go to work every morning. He is spoiled by them tho. He tried many different mufflers and feels they give him the most power. One of the tracks even threatened to not let him run but everybody likes to see him run because he is almost always the fastest. Don't get them for daily use. Be considerate of the neighbors. We would like them to be on our side, not against us.
