Supercharging vs. Turbocharging - What You Need to Know

It’s pretty common to hear people argue about superchargers and turbochargers on the internet, at car meets and everywhere else car people hang out. They are more similar than you think. Here’s a quick guide to turbos and superchargers.

Wouldn't a twin turbo setup fix any lag issues?

Another thought is that our cars do not really need help in the low rpm range. Because of this I do not understand why we pursue supercharging as opposed to turbo charging. Not just the people who pursue performance upgrades in the aftermarket, but GM as well. There must be something else that makes supercharging attractive. Is it packaging?

Because having all this grunt down low makes it nearly impossible to put it to the ground.

Anyway, I just figured this might be good to throw into this discussion. I know I'd like to have more information/thoughts on it.
