Mechanical Oil Pressure gauge tubing.
I don't want to rip apart the dash to put a new line in when I drop my BB. I'm not sure, but I don't think the SB line (connects to block behind the distributor)will reach down to the BB connection(near the oil filter). Can this line be lengthened? Is there another suitable location for the connector on a BB?
Thanks

sure you can splice on a section, but i'd do it at a place where the connector (read "heavy section") is not free to vibrate (fatigue issue). But, are you sure you want to go with that old line? surely it's been work-hardened to a certain degree.....
If it were mine, I'd just put in a fresh line, inexpensive, and not really that difficult to do. (and don't cut it short, there is a reason the factory used a coil line (again fatigue)

Thanks. Yeah I think I'll bite the bullet & replace the entire line. The SB line is way too short to reach down to the BB entry point in the block.
