Turbo Guy's - Wiggin's Clamps
Funny name, trick product... I've seen these a few times on some NMCA-NSCA racecars and have been trying to find out where to get them. Burn's Stainless is carrying them now. I just ordered some for my radiator plumbing, and compressor to intercooler tubing.

Wow, those are pretty trick, makes me almost wish I had a reason for using them. Burns Stainless has an interesting web site, and they are only about 8 miles from my house - I'm gonna have to check that place out!

Those are trick looking, But you know what, I swear I have seen those before, now that I think about it, I think I saw them on Ebay,and they came from a turbo desiel or something like that. Either way they are very very cool,
Monty have you seen the Barrel Intercoolers? they are about 10 inches long 2 1/2 inch inner diameter and 5 inch outer diameter, Water flows through the empty cavity. They seem very cool. I will try to find a link to the site I found them at. Though I tried to get more info on them cause I was ready to get them but they never responded. :(

I've never seen or heard of the barrel intercoolers...if you recall the link, I'd be interested in reading about it.
Arnold, just looking to make "continuous improvements". On the dyno, I blew one of the compressor tubes off the intercooler a couple of times - even with rolled beads and t-bolt stainless band clamps around the connections. The Wiggin's clamp is more secure and would alleviate any risk of blowing the tubes/hoses of while in the street. Same with the aluminum radiator pipes I made. Albeit, admittedly with the engine and turbo system firmly mounted in the car the chances are very slim. I just think they look more professional than silicon hose and t-bolt clamps. Plus they are alot easier/faster to disconnect/reconnect than hose and clamps.

Interesting. i've never heard of that company before, but they have some very good prices on intercooler cores (compared to Spearco/Turbonetics).

Yeah, those Barrel Ones really intrest me, I am still trying to find out how they are designed in the barrel, for instance if they have internal cooling passages that go through the center, or are they just jacketed. Either way it seems that they would only help and when talking Air to water your talking about some imprssive efficency numbers no matter what. Best part , they are so compact. I will most likely tyr to grab a pair as soon as I finish my engine.

I'm looking forward to hearing how they work. They are certainly compact. I could probably justify running a liquid/air intercooler on the street if something that small and lightweight would provide the necessary efficiency and flow.

That is nice Turbonetics has something like that they had at the 2001 sema show. Was really nice. When i finish i will be using something like that. I want to get some closer looks on those though they might be a diff choice.

The term we use in the Navy is "Wiggins Fitting". This is a very good Hi Performance clamp that is used in the fuel system on all F/A-18 fighter aircraft. Will do you well!!! :yesnod:
