Default need help on a decision.. (heads)

well, i friend has a set of world products sportsman 2's for me. they are 64 cc, 2.02/1.60 valves, springs good to .580, 7/16 screw in studs. i think the runners on these are 200cc, not sure. they havent had any port work. i have an 85 vette with cast iron heads. the only improvements i have done to the engine are: ported plenum, runners, and lower intake. also the lower is siamesed about 2 1/2 inches or so. long tube 1 5/8 headers. as far as i know it has a stock cam in it. basically what i need to know is, what kind of improvements would i see on my car with these heads installed. are they too big? and would changing the cam help any? its a non roller motor, so i can still use the 'old' tech hyd cams. thanks for any input

These heads might be a hair too big. You need something in the way of 180cc-190cc int port @ max. You will lose bottem end with the sportman heads and the TPI is mostly for low-end. If you had a 383-406 the sportsman would be great. Get an aluminum head with about 180cc and bring the comp up around 9.5:1-10.0:1,custom chip, roller rockers and a cam with about 210-218 int dur @.050 with .500" lift and you should love your 12 second ride!Good Luck!
