Lot's of extra clearancing involved and I do mean LOTs. What kind of rods are you planning to use, steel or aluminum? Aluminum will = even more clearancing, since they are so much bigger on the bolt end.

If you ever pick up a book called "How to build Monster Big Block Chevys" its a best of hot rod book. They have an engine that has a 4.375in stroke crank in a Bow tie block. 6.405 in rods were used and lunati pistons were used. Cam specs were 282in and 293ex at .050 and .797 and.781 with 1.8 rockers but with 1.6 rockers for the street lift was dropped to .709 and .695. With 10.3:1 compression an air pump and 92 octane a claimed 740 ft lbs of torque at 5600rpm and 893 hp at 6800 rpm was claimed. I have been drooling over this combo. I can try to scan the article and email it to you if you wanted

I remember seeing that book a few days ago, I better go buy it. I keep jumping around but I think I will do a 4.375 stroke with a 4.560 bore. That's 571.5 cu. inches.
