I’ve had the usual service abs/traction control codes since I bought my ‘02 15 months ago. Also had hvac no comm codes and left actuator codes too. All grounds were good and voltage to actuator was normal. Took my car to Brian at Elevate Automotive in Waco Texas who has extensive vette experience and he suggested changing the steering wheel location sensor even though the code was a history code. It’s been over a month and (knock on wood) there have been no codes or problems with anything.

I have a 2003 Vette, manual transmission. Having problems lately falling out of second or more likely not fully getting it shifted into second gear. Could the shift rod be bent? Is there any adjustment. I know the shifter is tight on the transmission side cause a shop recently replaced the transmission. They put a new roll pin in the linkage; it shifted poorly into second before the new transmission. The new transmission isn't faulty imo. What could need adjusted? Is it a transmission issue? Clutch isn't new but it doesn't seem to slip. No grinding of gears when shifting into any gears and it doesn't grind when the shifter pops out of place either.

Just need some advice!

Even the acdelco is made by wix and the wix filter apparently used to be good but it isn't anymore most people are having fuel regulator pressure problems ranging from immediately to a few hours after installing. So my question is who has had good luck and with what brand?

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone has purchased one of the dash mounted car play devices offered today, and what were your experiences? I have an 2001, and the radio has already been upgraded with a single din Panasonic unit that for the most part works just fine. I would however like to have the mirror image function so I can use my phone for Waze or Google maps and have it show up on the screen so I do not have to look at the small screened phone. The added forward mounted camera would be a big plus at the same time.
Thanks, JIM

Just took my c5 on a longer trip 4 hours both ways. I do have an exhaust so I didnt notice it until I stopped. When I was stopped I started to hear a whining/buzzing noise seemingly comming from the fuel pump it was on the driver side behind the door more audible from the wheel well area. What i thought was odd also is that the sound changed depending on what i presses in the interior for example the window switch would change the pitch of the whine/buzzing sound.

Anyway so I turned the car off and waited a few hours and turned it back on heard nothing from the pump.
On the drive back same thing heard nothing, i had to get back so I didn't have time to stop and check mid way but im sure it started whining at some point during the drive

Basically short drives i hear nothing but longer drives i hear it, seemingly cooling down helped it.
that being said I was reading a dead end post by someone else who replaced fuel pumps and filters multiple times to try and fix the issue with no success.

Hopefully someoe knows more than I do and can steer me in the right direction and so if their is a fix we can document it here. Or crossing my fingers its nothing then we can all relax and just drive our cars haha

Just for info my c5 is a 2002 6 speed

Edited because autocorrect is so great

installed a 4 seasons kit just under a couple years ago and took it to my ac guy to finish the charging. had the passenger cool and drivers warm problem so i remember something about rebooting by removing a couple fuses from floor board box. waited about half hour reinstalled fuses and bingo it worked great. been working good till memorial when we went to the caves here in central ohio. was good till the ride home and it started to blow warm. got a few projects going in the house so it took me a few days to check it out. put my manifold gauges on and my temp gauge in the center vent and everything looked good so i took a ride to see if it would do the warm trick again. was out for about 45 min with the gauge in the center vent and then the drivers vent showing 40 degrees in both. stayed out a little more till i started to freeze my *** off so went home. i suspect the blend door hung up for some reason. did not reboot it this time but it sat for a few days. anybody have a suggestion or had this happen to them?

Hi all,

I’ve been trying to sort out why my fans won’t kick into high speed and have hit a brick wall.

I have a Dewitt’s rad and their spal fan setup. I can open up vcm scanner and trigger low speed fan 1. When I go to trigger fan 2 fans do not change speed and I hear no relay kicking.

tested the relay sockets and they all have 12v, the fans will go into low speed when they reach the set coolant temp, but will not engage in high speed mode.

I have a sac city coolit v2 on relay 44 and can manually trigger high speed to the passenger side fan so obviously the wiring from the fuse box to the fans is good.

everything has been pointing to the high speed fan ground signal from pin 33 being broken somewhere between the pcm and the fusebox. I ran a brand new ground trigger from the pcm to the fuse box connector and still won’t kick the fans into high speed.

hopefully someone has some insight on what I can check next. The cars not really getting hot except for when I’m in slow moving bumper to bumper traffic, but as we continue to get into warmer weather I can see it becoming a problem on 90+ degree days.

Just bought a 2002 vette with the 12 cd changer. Can't get it to play. Course I don't know how. So I've got it loaded "upside down" in trunk. You can hear it loading but inside with key on I get power to radio but ERR signal when I insert another cd in dash. I can't get the cd light to go up to the section that selects the # of cd u want to play. If that makes any sense. Seems like the trouble is in the cd switch which is right beside the am/fm switch. Any ideas ? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
