This is the lowest, strongest, safest billet seat mount available for the Corvette. It will put your seat on the floor if needed. Using this mount with the Sparco QRT-R seat I gained almost 2 inches of head room over MTI rails with a Sparco EVO. Our integrated sub belt takes the guess work out of installing your 5 or 6 point harness. Not only that but it will survive an 85G mostly-rear impact. This seat mount saved my life and it can save yours too - just hope you never need to find out!
These mounts are now on their third variation and better than ever. A single bolt keeps your motor from moving fore and aft, while vulcanized rubber dampens the vibrations so they're not as harsh as solid mounts. We now use a hard anodized 6061 center section to keep the 2 rubber pucks in each assembly where they belong. Make no mistake these mounts do not feel like the pillowy soft oil-filled gushiness of the stock mounts. You are definitely going to feel more of the engine with these mounts, but your 350 lbs lump of a motor will not be moving all over your engine bay either when performance driving.
After selling a different product for a number of years, we've decided to start making our own version of adjustable toe links for all C7 Corvettes. The previous product had fitment issues with various parts and quality issues with the heim joints. Trying to work with the supplier to correct the issues wasn't getting anywhere, so in order to best serve our customer base, we came up with the AMT Motorsport M-80 Toe Links which use 7075 aluminum, 17-4 PH pins, and FK Heim Joints for the strongest and longest lasting toe links on the market.

I picked up a C6 recently, already had some Morimoto C7 style headlights. Original plan was to switch them back to OEM units since I had never liked Morimotos when I saw them online. But seeing a set in person when I picked the car up completely changed my opinion. No idea why I hate how they look in photos.

Issue with them is that the driver side unit has some sort of intermittent problem with the turn signal function. I originally thought it was just the driver side marker bulb burnt out causing hyperflash of some sort, swapped in a set of laser sidemarkers front and back and was still doing it. That's when I realized it was actually the turn signal in the driver side Morimoto unit. Previous owner mentioned they would sometimes work and sometimes not for the turn signal. I was correcting the aim of the lights the other night and tried to see if maybe there was something maybe loose but no movement cause any differences.

Then this morning I start driving to work and the turn signals functioning just fine, no hyperflash either since it's functioning. Then by the time I got to work it had already stopped and the hyperflash was back as well for obvious reasons.

I'm planning to pull the driver side wheel to get better access to the port in there, is there anything specifically that is known to cause these connection issues on these headlights? I don't know anything about them really. My initial plan is to just disconnect everything in there, check all the pins for any obvious issues, and probably spray contact cleaner in all of them as well. But figured it can't hurt to ask here in case someone has some suggestions while I'm in there.

As far as lighting I'm just waiting on my InfiRai lights to show up and there shouldn't be any further changes to the lighting on the car at that point, so I just want to make sure I try and make this a one and done.

Appreciate any input, thanks.

Hello all, first time making a thread here. I'm 18 years old, and this the first issue ive encountered with the car, so im looking for some help. I relocated battery to rear cubby about 5 days ago. all was well until about 2 days later i had a 30 minute drive somewhere, turn the car off for about 3 minutes, go to start it again, it has a very hard time starting for about 5 seconds. it did start, however rpm gauge did not move at all and i had CEL that came up as P0336. swapped the sensor out for a brand new GM one, car was fine for the rest of the day. I drove it for about an hour, stopped to get gas, and the car turned back on just fine. The next day i had another 30 minute drive, car was off for about 10 minutes, go to start it, and the same code came back. this time the RPM gauge worked, however i still had the P0336 code. drove it back home, cleared the code, let it sit for about 7 hours and the car started up just fine, and didnt have a code.

In my eyes it has to be a heat issue, and its most likely something caused by the relocating battery. it only happens after the car is warmed up. ive read here that people say its starter getting hot, maybe it is, but ive owned the car for over a year now and the starter has never given me issues (now that ive typed that, maybe its a loose connection on the positive terminal to starter?). would like some more opinions by people that know alot more than me, thanks.

I have several issues and will gladly take any helpful hints.

Issue 1. My instruments stopped working. HUD still works. I read various posts about grounds and cables disconnecting from the back of the panel, etc. I checked all that. Also the check engine light functions as expected in the panel. Will that still work if you have a ground problem? I am concerned the panel died. It drives just fine.

Issue 2. The day I had arranged to work on issue 1 I saw 2 new bigger issues. When I pressed the button to start sometimes everything electrical died in car. No lights, doors didn’t work, nothing. The only way to revive it was to disconnect the battery.

Issue 3. When I pressed the button to start everything electrical would shut down, then 10 seconds later come back to life with no action on my part.

So when I go to start my car and press the button one of 3 things happens:
1-it starts and runs great, but I have no instruments
2-it loses electrical for 10 seconds, then things like the radio and hvac come back and work just fine
3-it loses everything electrical, completely dead, until I disconnect the battery

This could be several different issues for sure. I am open to any ideas on where to start. I am hoping that someone has seen something similar and can save me some cycles.

If I put this in the wrong forum I will move it, just let me know.

Thank you,
Drew

Hi all,
This issue is ONLY when the car is warm, and I go to drive it again before it’s cooled down. When it sits overnight, it’s fine.
the car doesn’t respond to the fob, I go inside manually and it won’t go into accessory mode or start mode. No electronics turn on.
All the grounds are clean, Bcm looks fine; haven’t tested internally, fuse box pins and all look fine
it has a class 2 data link code and a communication CAN bus error.
where should I look or what should I do next?

I recently purchased an 05 C6 ls2 base. I experienced a random shutoff while my car idled for about 2 mins. electronics stayed on , i then drove it home for about 7 mins, experienced two shutoffs , both gave me the "shift to park" message my dash stayed on however my engine cut off. I then scanned my car for codes & got a lean on banks 1 & 2. Mind you no CEL. I then took it my local shop & they recommended changing my MAF sensor. This could possibly be responsible for my shutoffs. We had then changed the MAF. Codes cleared. Nothing came back. After a week or so after driving i experienced another shutoff. dash still lit. mind you i have no experienced any other weird things with the car and the car still scans for ZERO codes. Looking for recommendations or suggestions.

Good afternoon. I've got a "situation". The stock trunnion on cylinder 6 intake valve failed and I’m recovering needle bearings from the top of the head. So far I’ve found 24 (of the 33). I’ve drained the oil and didn’t recover any there. Unfortunately the drain plug was not magnetic. I have found a significant amount of glitter (recovered on my magnet as I was searching on the top of the head). I’ve got a few questions for any of you familiar with this problem-

I’m pulling the heads to replace the valve (and inspect the others).

1. Assuming I don’t find the remaining bearings on top of the valley cover, should I assume the others moved to the oil pan?

2. If so, is there any reliable way to inspect it other than dropping the oil pan? I ran a scope up in the drain hole, but couldn't see very far. It’s got a BTR stage 3 cam and dual valve springs so I’m hoping it didn’t damage the lobes, cylinder or valve(s).

3. I’m replacing the rocker arms and push rods. Is there anything else I should look for or inspect while I’m in there?

I have a 2012 Grand Sport. In 2020 I began getting the ABS/Traction control disabled warning light.
I found a shop to scan for codes and came back with an intermittent on the right rear sensor.
I replaced the hub and sensor and everything was fine for several years.
Now several years and maybe 14,000 miles later, I am getting the same error.
Put a scanner on it and it came back with the right rear sensor again.
I thought I was putting a quality part on at the time, paid $225, not the cheapest or the most expensive.
Yesterday, I jacked up the rear and unplugged the sensor and just for fun plugged in the old hub.
The light went out. Unplugged the old one and plugged in the one still on the car and the light came back on.
I can put a new one on, but the price range now appears to be anywhere from about $49 for an import to nearly $400 for a Timken.
If its only going to last 14,000 miles, I'd prefer to spend under $100 then $400.
Anyone else have this problem, Comments?
TIA

My question is this. If you send in your heads to have them “fixed”, what is being done to alleviate the problem? If they are just inspected and nothing is changed, that doesn’t seem to be a fix.

What needs done as a fix?

by the way, the search engine on this forum seems hard to use, so I know there is a **** ton on the issue…

Long story short, I have non-magnetic glitter in the bottom of the drain pain on every oil change regardless of the miles on the oil. I’ve cut the filter open each time and the filter is clean, everytime. It’s a bone stock 2012 grand sport with 33k miles, bought the car at 31,500 miles. Oil pressure is great, no misfires and no unusual noises.
Got my oil report back and basically it’s normal. As it states in the report, their testing does not account for larger visible particles, but if there were an issue I would expect elevation in the microscopic particles also. The oil only had 975 miles on it and the universal averages for comparison are at 3800 miles….But still overall this report looks promising. What the heck could be happening in this motor?!

Recently installed a new headunit (Sony 9000ES) with an Pac RP5 interface with stock Bose system. When the engine is running I'm hearing a whine from passenger 3" speaker that changes with RPM. Have not been able to get rid of whine. I unplugged alternator, added a chassis ground from ground wire on PAC, disconnected rear camera, nothing works. Crutchfield hasn't been super helpful so far. Have a new PAC interface on the way but not feeling very confident. Anyone have any advice?
