This is the lowest, strongest, safest billet seat mount available for the Corvette. It will put your seat on the floor if needed. Using this mount with the Sparco QRT-R seat I gained almost 2 inches of head room over MTI rails with a Sparco EVO. Our integrated sub belt takes the guess work out of installing your 5 or 6 point harness. Not only that but it will survive an 85G mostly-rear impact. We offer 4 different sizes of wheel spacers. Our 1/4" spacer uses the lip of the stock hub for centering and can be used with stock length studs. Our 3/8" spacer pushes the wheel out a smidge further but the ring on the hub is no longer effective. We recommend going to the 2.5" ARP studs if you're using a 3/8" spacer. These mounts are now on their third variation and better than ever. A single bolt keeps your motor from moving fore and aft, while vulcanized rubber dampens the vibrations so they're not as harsh as solid mounts. We now use a hard anodized 6061 center section to keep the 2 rubber pucks in each assembly where they belong. Make no mistake these mounts do not feel like the pillowy soft oil-filled gushiness of the stock mounts. You are definitely going to feel more of the engine with these mounts, but your 350 lbs lump of a motor will not be moving all over your engine bay either when performance driving.
After selling a different product for a number of years, we've decided to start making our own version of adjustable toe links for all C7 Corvettes. The previous product had fitment issues with various parts and quality issues with the heim joints. Trying to work with the supplier to correct the issues wasn't getting anywhere, so in order to best serve our customer base, we came up with the AMT Motorsport M-80 Toe Links which use 7075 aluminum, 17-4 PH pins, and FK Heim Joints for the strongest and longest lasting toe links on the market.

Just introducing myself. 3 years ago I treated myself to a 2003 50th Anniversary Edition Convertible. My first ever Corvette. Anniversary red with slate interior. Yes… it’s an automatic. Had 17,000 miles. Have added about 2,000 miles since then.

Things done so far:
1) Had ALL fluids and battery replaced upon purchase.
2) Replaced original run-flat tires with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season’s
3) Replaced leaking F55 shocks with C6 Z06 shocks and had F55 programmed out.
4) Rebuilt both headlight motors with new gear guts. One was making noise so I figured other was not far behind. Better to do both at same time.
5) Installed Wind Restrictor wind deflector
6) Complete detail and ceramic coated.

Nothing outrageous. I just wanted a car to drive and enjoy and take to a few car shows. She gets lots of compliments. I’ve come to call the 50th Anniversay a ‘Gentleman’s Corvette’… very classy in style and color. She’s fast enough, and performs well enough, for the type of driving I do… and that’s good enough for me. :)

Glad to be here,
Mark

Its been forever since I visited this site and am bored at work and thought.. why not :D

So I recently finished up my build. wide body cheap ebay rear fenders that I had to work over quite a lot to get straight and I made some fake side vents to look like the c6 cuz... why not and glassed them in as well. couple carbon fiber ground effects, c6 GS rims, tinted the windows and yes those super amazing lights that everyone just adores

Engine mods LS6 intake, lifters, pushrods, fully built Kaytech 243 heads "race package", BTR stage 2 cam, Callowway CAI, Hooker headers with cat delete/X pipe/cans (all Hooker) stage two clutch/kit, tune, full stereo system using NVX component speakers and sub along with NVX mono and 4 way amp. oh .. also swapped out for 6c GS seats... sooo comfy.

Car has 48k original miles. I've put about 150 miles on it since the build. I have it with me today at work and it was just pure smiles all the way here this morning lol so fast and mean.

hope you all are enjoying your rides.

I'm planning to track my new to me C5 in the next coming months and was hoping to get some insight on the best tow straps to buy, as well as the best way to tow the car. I did some searching and left more confused than when I started to be honest lol - probably a me issue, but as this will be my first time really towing, I'd like to make sure I get it right.

I got a 20ft open trailer, and I was considering either via axle straps on the control arms, or through the wheels. I don't REALLY want to go tire nets as the car is going to be lowered at some point, and I'm unsure how feasible that'll be. I also worry that the wheels I have don't have a wide enough gap to make sure the strap isn't on any of the spokes, but I'll do some measurements when I get home.

Any feedback is helpful! This is my first "forum" post too so I'll try and get a picture of the car here too lol

I think I did something dumb and need some help. I think I made a mistake while replacing the AC idler pulley. I tightened the bolt, but it didn’t seem to be actually tightening to the 37lb torque spec. However, the pulley is so tight, it’s not spinning. I removed it to inspect, thinking I might have installed the washer on the wrong side of the pulley. I removed the bolt, but the pulley is stuck in place and won’t budge. I can’t pry it off either. Any ideas how to remove the pulley now?

Hello,
After taking my 04 C5 auto to a tuning shop recently, (and after learning that the person who locked the tune into the ECM passed away, and I'll need to buy a new unit), I've been weighing the Cricle D 3,200 245mm stall converter recommended (due to cam specs, heads, etc.,), and switching from the 2:73 gearing to 3:15 (G92 unit), as recommended. But after driving the car, the owner of the shop said, "Shame it's not a manual." He agreed to tune the car after all of the transmission and rear end work is done, but to do it right (as to avoid problems later), that's the converter, shifter cable/bushings, servo, shift kit, trans cooler, etc., Adds up in $ to be done right the first time. With that, I received a call this morning from my neighbor who's a retired mechanical engineer. He owns an auto C5, and said, it were mine, I'd do a manual swap. He also said that the floorboards of the C5's are identical, so the provisions for the clutch master cylinder and pedal assembly are already indented in the firewall, so we shouldn't have any issues with mounting those factory manual components. With that, what recommendations would you suggest? I'm planning on:

T56 6-Speed Transmission (with reverse lockout solenoid)

3-Rib Differential (3.42 gear ratio)

Manual-specific Torque Tube

Complete Clutch Pedal Assembly

Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders

Clutch Kit (Flywheel, Pressure Plate, and Pilot and throw-out Bearing)

Manual Transmission Wiring Harness

Complete Shifter Assembly (including interior boot and trim)

New ECU (PCM)

Does this sound like a viable option, as from what I've been researching, it's not a huge bump up in cost to do this vs. what I was planning to have done with the automatic transmission setup? Thanks in advance!

Hey all, I was very excited to buy my first corvette. I got a 2002 corvette z06. The car is beautiful. Its got a built engine. was swapped with an LS2. has a 408 stroker kit. big cam. PRC racing heads. twin disc clutch. makes around 650hp or so. Has C8 grand sport corvette wheels and wide body rear fenders. Really nice car and its very fun to drive. Here's the kicker. I thought I was buying a clean title car that the previous owner never titled. He gave me a clean title that had already been signed over to him but he was gonna work out the titling. I keep digging and turns out the car was in a collision and was totaled. Burn. but hey whatever... car has a ton of extras and is built so I think to myself I'll just work with the DMV and get it a rebuilt title. No biggie. Well I finally dig an NMVTIS report and the car is branded "nonrepairable". So the title he gave me must not be the most recent. I see the pictures it wasn't a terrible damage. I don't know why they deemed it nonrepairable. But what the heck do i do now?! I have a huge paperweight and no state will title it. Is there any workaround at all? anything that can be done to put this car back on the road. Everything works and it looks sick.
