New member from sunny Florida / Just picked up a C7 Grand Sport!

Hey everyone, finally pulling the trigger and joining the forum after lurking for months. Just traded in my daily driver for a '18 C7 Grand Sport in Torch Red with the 7-speed manual. Man, the rev-matching on this thing is absolutely mental, and the way it pulls out of corners makes my old ride feel like a tractor. Planning on doing most of the wrenching myself in the garage, probably starting with a proper intake and a clean exhaust setup to let that LT1 properly breathe. Looking forward to picking your brains on local track days and setup advice. Cheers!

I have always loved the look of the 1963-1967 Corvette, especially the coups. I think they�re one of the most beautiful cars ever made. I thought I would join so I could see and learn more about them.

Hello all
Thank you for the add.
To be short, We have a 1995 Coupe that we've owned since June 2011. It's our driver. We bought a 1974 convertible last Sept.. This one is destined to be our "show car". Once I clear the garage of a previous project I can start on the 74. I am/was a private pilot and I was building a homebuilt airplane. For health reasons I've self grounded myself. Once the plane is gone the 74 goes in.

Sorry - I never mentioned where we're located - Machesney Park, ILL. (About half way between Rockford,IL and Beloit, WI).
I'm a retired USAF MSgt - crew chief/aircraft mechanic as well as a retired DoD Quality assurance inspector.
In the for what it's worth dept. I've been told I have a great sense of humor. Need that living in Illinois.

Hi guys, just thought I would introduce myself; I am a Corvette fan since I was 8 years old, when I first saw my uncle's Corvette. It was a 1978 Pace Car, Black with the red and silver trim. I didn't even know cars could only have 2 seats, or even had names, back then I was usually in a station wagon.

New to the forum. I�ve had many Corvette�s in the past including 4 C8�s, 4 C7�s and a C5. Currently, I�d like to go further in history and purchase a C1 or C2. New to these generations. Would greatly appreciate any insight or advice. Not looking for a show car, but something that looks decent, drives decent and can simply be enjoyed. Just a good entry level Corvette. I do live in the Atlanta area.

I am Andy. I just purchased a beautiful 2020 red C8 Stingray Coupe 3LT Z61 with 21K miles, one owner in Ontario, Canada. Car was local at a Jeep dealer in the west suburbs in Chicago. I have been lurking at Corvettes since the C5 generation and never made my mind to buy one until now. For one, I really like the mid engine platforms and had a Cayman S and a KTM X Bow. The mid engine dynamics are just awesome. I am also a track rat for the last 16 years, so you all know what is going to happen here. Already looking at track wheels, tires, better pads, rotors, services, fluids, etc...
One of my favorite racetracks in the Midwest is NCM in Bowling Green. I have been going there steady since they opened it. If you have not been there, I highly recommend you to go.
I really like the forums and the to go links, really good stuff. Looking forward to merge into the community and keep the Corvette love going!

Hello my fellow Vette fanatics! I'm Rich and live in Upstate NY...whenever I'm actually home. Just bought a new 2026 HTC hardtop. I was trying to hold out for a '27 allocation, but I needed a summer car this year. Im very happy with it. I pick it up in a few days. I've learned a TON from you guys over the last few months while I mustered the courage to pull the trigger. Well, Ive gone and done it.

The guy that ordered it couldnt take delivery, so Im the beneficiary. I would have ordered her just as she sits.

Hello,

This is my first forum ever, and I�m 31 years old. I�ve always thought forums were something of the past or something that I couldn�t get into, but I�ve recently been getting into cars. More specifically, however, Corvettes.

I recently had to give up buying one of the most beautiful 2007 C6s because of many reasons but it hasn�t made me feel like I can give up on my childhood dream car. I�ve been looking for a 2008+ C6 for the LS3 because I�ve heard so much praise for it. And, after test driving a few C6s it�s hard not to feel like you�re living something surreal.

Anyway, I�m someone who oddly doesn�t like driving in a city setting because it�s always so crazy but when I can drive with freedom, like on an open highway or quiet backroad, it feels so freeing. It feels like ever since test driving, all I can envision is how it felt to drive one and maybe someday I hope to learn to drive manual too. First, I�d like to at least live my dream, then worry about the rest.

I hope to someday become a part of the community!

I'm Andy from San Diego, member of COCSD, Corvette Owners Club of San Diego. I bought a new 2025 torch Red C8. I previously had a 2005 Millennium Yellow Z51 6MT.with a great Borla exhaust My only claim to fame is I'm 101 years old, and will be 102 in January 2027..
