Z06 Wing on Grand Sport

Hello all. I would like to order a Grand Sport convertible. I love the look of the wing that comes with the 'Carbon Flash-Painted Carbon Fiber Aero Package', I 'think' it is a Z06 wing, and has 2 mounting points. However, adding this package also adds 'Performance Brembo� carbon ceramic antilock brakes', which I do not want, because I do not want squeaky brakes. I also do not want the summer only tires. My reality is that the car will be a weekend fun car, and will probably never see a day on the track, ever. My question is - what is the best way to get the wing I like, but ditch the CCB's? I would like to stay with OEM parts... The other thought I had was to order the wing from my local dealer, and have them install it after I get the car. But then another consideration is that it appears the standard low profile default rear wing that runs along the top of the trunk uses more than just 2 mounting points like the Z06 wing that I want, making it more complicated to remove the default wing, fill the extra holes, etc. So second question is - is it possible to order the grand sport with no wing at all, with the intention to have the dealer install the Carbon Flash-Painted Carbon Fiber Aero Package wing later, after the fact?

Center Exhaust

Hello. I see lots of people ordering the center exhaust. Those who are ordering, is it the look or the sound or both? If it is the sound, how do you know it will sound different. Sure it sounds different on a Z06 but that is a different engine. With the same engine, so you know it will sound different (deeper and throatier)? Thanks.

Under Car Cooling Scoops Now on American Cars?

The under car cooling scoops were on the Euro C8 deliveries but not here. You could buy and add them.

I noted in the owners manual it referenced the scoops as if they were included at least on the track package and possibly all 27 6.7 models.

I was killing some time messing with the GS builder and once I got to the end for the first time I am seeing actual VINS showing up.

Looks like the cars really are rolling off and there is actually 1LZ trims not just fully loaded ones. There are 13 1LZ coming into my area so this is a good chunk of cars.

I am curious if these are all customer cars and just starting to show or if some dealers put in orders for stock units.

Paragon Performance says their Grand Sport (from Rick Conti) is in route to them now. They are breaking it in driving it from that dealership. The Utube post was 4 days ago. Maybe they post some test results this week? Below is the link to the Utube�.

GS 3LT Dipped Delamination/Bubbling Questions

Hi All,

I am brand new to the C8 Forum Section as I normally write and respond to our fellow members in the C2 section of our Corvette Forum.

Last week the wife and I put a deposit down on a Grand Sport (the configuration picture is below) for her with our local Chevy Dealership and if all goes well are slated to take delivery in September. The 3LT and Dipped interior was a lock on this GS with the wife being insistent that this be the final configuration regardless of potential issues.

For those that are shaking their heads, it was either a 3LT red dipped interior or we are NOT buying the car. What can I say . . . Happy wife, Happy life.

I am aware of the horror stories of the de-lamination and or bubbling on the leather dash section under the windshield arc and had a few questions which I was hoping you all could me help with, so here goes . . .

What would your estimation be of the amount of time that typically passes from the date delivery of a new C8 to the beginnings of the de-lamination?

If it happens while the C8 is still under warranty, will GM repair or replace the damaged section without too much kicking and screaming?

Besides the radical use of a fitted sun shade, are there any other techniques one could use to slow down the inevitable?

For those of you who have had this happen (or know someone who has) out of warranty, what is the approximate cost to have it repaired/made like new?

Order Question Grand Sport

Hello.

I have a 2020 C8 and looking to trade it in for a Grand Sport. I have used the US build site to gather info. I was at my dealer today working on a build and 2 things came up.........

- The sales manager said aero packages are on hold for now and in fact, most cars will not be able to get them this year (he said maybe 10% or so). Any orders going in right now, will not get aero packages. Have others heard this? Are others just going to use after market aero parts?

- Black Exhaust Tips do not show up anywhere. Are all exhaust tips black as a new standard?

Grand Sport Window Stickers Released Today

Oh hi hello. I just noticed the 2027 Grand Sport window stickers started getting released today. This points to cars getting invoiced to dealers, so they should start shipping soon.

I'll start pulling the 2027 window stickers into c8tracker.com shortly.

GS discounts?

I emailed MacMulkin today and asked when discounts might appear for Grand Sport in the future. The response was � There is no indication that will happen anytime soon�. Stingrays are discounted 6%.

Black or Nickel wheels?

Grand Sport std spoiler?

Looking at pictures in the configurator, it looks like a view from the rear shows dark (black?) color on the wickers whereas from the front view it�s body colored? Also it looks like there are visible fasteners from the rear only. The center of the spoiler doesn�t appear to have any pieces attached. Is my understanding correct?

Jake logo rear hash marks cheaper than GS stripes

I noticed on the configurator you can add the Jake logo hash marks for $575 vs the $995 for the GS stripes. Didn�t know that was an option. If you like the skull, kinda looks like a GS and gives a nod to the C8R racing heritage. This one has the bronze accent. It�s available without the bronze as well.
