The issue, which surfaced in early May 2026, was attributed to a shipment of "bad fuel" from a third-party supplier. Affected drivers have reported symptoms like smoking engines, misfiring, and total engine failure, with some repair estimates reaching up to $10,000.Affected LocationsThe following seven stations were identified as selling the tainted gasoline:
* Bradenton: 2925 1st St. E
* Fort Myers Beach: 17170 San Carlos Blvd.
* Fort Myers: 9951 Orange River Blvd.

* Fort Myers: 9001 Rolfes Rd.

Their Story
In December 2006, the pastor of Park Valley Church in Haymarket, Virginia, asked the church small group leaders to organize a unique community service project. One group decided to host a �taste-of-home� Christmas celebration for service members undergoing treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center � now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This event ignited a passion in the hearts of everyone involved, and it was decided to continue hosting similar events at military hospitals throughout the National Capital Area. In 2012, the idea to establish a dedicated retreat property for the warriors was envisioned. As a first step, the two leaders of the original church group founded Serve Our Willing Warriors as a 501 (c)(3) organization.

Willing Warriors dramatically expanded the scope of its services on July 4, 2015, by opening the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run as a temporary �home-away-from-home� for recovering service members and their families. The special programs and services offered at the Retreat are designed to inspire the Warriors in the journey to rebuilding their lives. The original small group of volunteers has grown into a coalition of individuals, small businesses, corporations, churches, and other organizations throughout Northern Virginia that help to provide the services we offer.

Their MissionProvide cost-free retreat stays and programs that positively impact wounded, ill, and injured service members, disabled Veterans, and their families.

The average hospital stay for our recovering warriors is about 300 days. Following the healing of physical wounds, many of them are challenged with the �invisible wounds� of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) for a lifetime.

Willing Warriors is a privately-funded 501 (c)(3) charitable organization offering cost-free getaways from the hospital environment where Warriors and their families can come to relax, spend quality time together, and reconnect. Our programs include more than 40+ cost-free educational and recreational activities, including seminars that address the issues of dealing with PTS and TBI. The intended outcome of these retreat stays is the Warrior and their family members return to the routine of rebuilding their lives feeling refreshed and inspired.

Winchester Apple Blossom Festival Parade

We have had some cancellations for the parade that takes place tomorrow, Saturday, May 2, for the Apple Blossom Grand Feature Parade to be held in Winchester, VA.

Looking for 4 folks who would like to fill those open slots. If interested, let me know your email address. I will also need a copy of your insurance card (Festival Office organizers requirement). But don't send that until you get verification from me since I don't know how many people will respond to this post.

For those interested, I will send out details about where to meet, the route, etc.

I have been to Katie's in Great Falls, pretty awesome. Wanted to make sure I am not about to miss another event.

This is my first 'Vette and one of the main reasons I took the plunge was it seems you guys/gals stick together and have regular 'Vette-centric events. I'd love to get involved in some local events/gatherings/shows/etc in and around the Atlanta/NGA area. Unfortunately I don't do FB, so if anyone has any recommendations of good (active) groups/events in the area I'd appreciate it.

I did do a google search and found a few local groups, but from what I can see, there's not too much activity involving the ones I found. I am open to branching out to North GA, NC and West Tenn as I do a bunch of driving/riding on the great roads nearby....
