As the family car guy, I was tasked with shaking it down, representing it honestly, and getting it sold. I’ve put 200 miles on it so far and have had no issues besides a coolant temp sensor code. I replaced it with a factory GM CTS and the code has not came back.

Exterior- The body and paint are in great shape. No paint defects, rubs, or scrape marks. I can’t even find any noticeable rock chips. There is a small scratch on the driver side quarter (see photo)

Interior- Good shape for its age. No rips on the seats. The driver side lower bolster does have some wear, my uncle was a big boy. A/C blows ice cold, but the HVAC screen is very dim. Passenger side vanity mirror glass is dislodged (see video). Has a aftermarket arm rest from the early 2000s

Mechanical- Had it up on my lift and did not see any leaks. No leaks in the engine bay either. No ticks or taps from the motor. No codes. No clunks or anything weird over bumps. Trans shifts well, will chirp the tires into 2nd. Brakes and tires have plenty of life.

This 1998 Corvette was purchased about a year and a half ago. My daily commute had increased by about an hour and a half and I wanted something “Kool” to commute in. We located this 1998, very clean - no accident - car. As clean and nice as it was, I felt it needed a little to set it apart from the rest. Nothing too crazy to take away from the corvette, or couldn’t be returned to original.

As an owner/operator of a Hot Rod/Restoration shop for 40 years, a few chrome add-ons was not going to cut it for me. I had a vision. Just some tried and true changes to enhance the beauty and function of this awesome ride.

We started by removing the body side moldings, filling chips, and hours of color sanding, compounding, and polishing to get the all original paint to have this absolutely stunning, mile deep, beautiful distinction of image finish you see here.

I added a little rear ducktail spoiler which really changes things up and gives her a little attitude.

9x17 and 10x18 brand new kustom wheels were installed to really set her off. I then pinstriped them in red to pay homage to the redline tires of the 60's and the 1978 pace car.

The glass removable roof panel was refurbished. The original blue tint didn't fit my vision and was a little delaminated so it was sanded down. A few coats of Kandy Black were added followed by multiple urethane coats, and polished to perfection. From the exterior it looks black - but from the inside it still affords all the see through clarity as stock.

You will notice the 2000 Heritage style graphic that I painted on the hood. Subtle, yet captivating. I kustom mixed the color to match the rims and finished it in the same pinstripe red. It makes the front view of the car appear lower and ground hugging.

I also added rear Z06 style functional brake cooling ducts. I've always loved the way they look. A little mean, and really "kool".

Drivetrain wise she is all original, runs and drives perfectly. Everything works as intended. You are drawn to her. She looks classic, but at the same time - does not look dated.

To say I love this car would be an understatement. I love the way she drives and the way she looks so much that I don’t want to use it for my commute, as the travel just makes a mess of it. I have a few other cars waiting to be finished, its time they get some love.
