I'm asking $10K. The car has 10,854 miles on it and is #43 out of 2050 produced. It does need seats (I have all the seat parts just needs foam and switches) and some body work (see photos). We had started to work on it, but all the parts and original carpet are with the car. I am also adding in the correct radio (it had an after-market installed), spare tire and cover (from an '89), and brand new seat covers (they cost about 1100 if you buy them online). The dash does not function, I was going to send it out to Batee to get replaced, but need the money to cover what my health insurance won't so I would recommend a trailer. The car does start (new battery installed) but definitely needs all fluids flushed and replaced- I have not seen any leaks on the ground or around the engine. From what I know about it, it sat in a barn in Missouri for a long time. The antenna works, all light bulbs were replaced (except the fog lights, will need those). The center caps are stuck, but I have replacement bolts for them so it's just a matter of getting them off. The Targa top is cracked but comes with the car. Release latch works, and I have an owners manual. I also have a service manual and the electrical supplemental that I will throw in. The passenger side headlight cover is arctic white and not anniversary white, it was like that when I got the car. The headlights do work and flip around so no issues there. It's a really good car that just needs a little TLC. It was meant to be a father-son project so my kid could have it on his 16th birthday, but my health had other ideas. I'll be glad to answer any questions and if you're in the DMV area (I'm in Southern Maryland) and want to see it in person, I can arrange showings. It is currently titled and registered and insured. I have a lot more photos that I will post as we have been documenting our progress.

Ready for a new home. I've owned for 2.5 years and am not going to be able to get back into autocross like I thought for medical reasons.

About 78,500 miles, sport seats, heavy-duty adjustable suspension. Nice driver in good overall condition, pinion gear is a little noisy on decel but not too bad. All stock. Bose tape only - no CD - a little unusual. Likely former GM executive car, it was originally delivered to NAO Company Operations (Willow Run). Located near St. Louis.

I rebuilt the headlight gears and replaced the hatch solenoid. For good measure, I did the front brakes, flushed the cooling system, replaced the rocker cover bolt grommets and the rocker cover gaskets, and put in a new battery. Tires have plenty of tread but are aging. Clear title. I can't use any trades right now.

If you know of the old FS thread, here's the info: in winter 2024-25 I noticed a lifter on the pass side would get ticky when the oil got hot. No big deal. I replaced all the lifters with Comp, and after a short time they got noisy at start up, some would lose their prime. Parts quality ain't what it used to be. So, I put in a full set of Genuine GM at it's right as rain. The engine always had and has great oil pressure, runs cool and makes good power. Look through the oil filler and it's nice and clean inside.

Original sawblades are very good condition, I'd give them a 9.4/10.
Interior is very good. 9/10 with a small blemish on driver's seat and on driver's door card.
Floor mats are excellent.
Carpet is 9/10
Door sills are 8.5/10
Dash is 9.5/10
There is a scratch on the large clear lens over gauge cluster.
Hood/front & rear bumpers/driver's mirror/headlight covers were repainted last year. Paint match is perfect.
Radio and antenna work
Axle back exhaust with magnaflow mufflers and what appear to be Corsa tips
Headlights spin flawlessly
Original front license plate filler is excellent
A few of the wheelwell liner screws are incorrect.
I believe the chip has been modified as there is a Guldstrand sticker on the ecm cover and there is "91 Corvette" handwritten on the chip.
Rear lowered with longer bolts
ALL exterior paint was just professionally cut and buffed and looks amazing. Passenger side mirror was not repainted and in bright garage lights looks more silver than the rest. When you get it in sunlight it mostly goes away.
OEM windshield NOT included but I have one available for additional funds.
Fog lights not working. One of previous owners modified the wiring for LED fog use and I haven't figured out how to undo it.
Two tops are included. 1 is a blue clear top in a black bag. Second is the painted top on the car in the pictures. Bad part is I think it is a clear top that has been painted.
When car is in neutral and clutch pedal is released there is a slight whirring sound.
Includes NEW in box steel blue seat covers, I believe they're from Al Knoch. I don't know for sure if anyone is making these in steel blue anymore.
New drilled and slotted rotors are installed with stop tech pads in original calipers.
No pizza box.

Overview

1989 Corvette convertible showing 45,715 miles. White exterior with white wheels over red leather interior. Automatic transmission. Includes a rare white removable hardtop.

The car starts, runs, and drives and has been in light use, though it has sat more recently and will need some refreshing. It’s a solid, low-mile example with good fundamentals and a desirable color combination.

Condition

Mechanically, the car starts easily, idles, and shifts through all gears properly. A/C and heat function as expected.

Cosmetically, the paint shows age and would benefit from a repaint. It presents well from a distance but has visible imperfections up close.

Interior is complete with no tears, but the red leather shows typical wear and cracking.

It is NOT A GARAGE QUEEN. It has nearly 170,000 miles on it. I've owned it for about the last 20 years, most of that was in Delaware, and in MI I dont drive it in the winter so it'snot driven on salty roads. There's been no major engine repairs done, just basic maintenance, replaced the EGR valve and injectors at some point. "Frisbee" has been removed, but I've got it around somewhere. It runs good... a small sound that I don't know if it's a miss or a pinhole exhaust leak, but it still rips the pavement. I've taken it on some ~200 mile road trips the past few years and haven't had any problems. Last year though it started "marking it's parking spot." Inside isn't too bad, considering. I've seen a lot worse for sale on here... It still has the Bose speakers (I had refurbished a number of years ago) and an Alpine stereo. And it has the Sport seats .
The paint is pretty good on most but theres a couple of troubled spots.
the biggest problem areas, that i know of, are electrical/electronic... the tach and fuel guages do not work. However the trip odometer and mileage/range functions still work... fill the fuel, reset the range and fill up before 499 miles.The display sometimes goes dim which means you cant see the speed, but it usually doesn't stay off too long.
The brakes are great, and if you want to track/autocross it i can throw in C5 front calipers and brackets so you can put in 13" rotors. It has Oz-Racing 17" wheels that clear the larger brakes. Plus I have new poly suspension bushings that will go with it.
Clean title. Come test drive it and take it home!
