WTB (Want To Buy) Wtb 1969-1972

Hello -- I'm new to the forum. Looking to purchase a solid chrome bumper C3 daily driver. Prefer a small block manual transmission car with AC and power steering. Would be willing to convert an automatic. I am certainly not looking for a numbers matching car or perfect paint -- just a sincere solid driver that might need a little work. Prefer to be in the low $20K's range.

I would be willing to part with my beloved 1958 Volvo PV544 (plus my cash of course) towards a trade for the right C3 if anyone is interested. I've had several classics, but this one gets me more thumbs up than any others. Extremely solid daily driver with honest patina and lots of upgrades.

L-36 in great condition with a lot of restoration done. Factory options include PW, PB, PS, tilt n telescopic, AC(not working but everything there), 4spd M-20, side pipes.
Original engine and drive train.
Some of the things that have been done within the last 4000 miles: new brakes, suspension ball joints and bushings, carburetor, pertronix ignition, year correct shielded wires, alternator, steering box(replaced with Borgeson close ratio which makes it handle beautifully!), heavy duty clutch, leather seat covers, carpet, and other stuff I can�t think of right now.
Everything works but the AC. Even the clock that keeps good time.

Has a Retrosound stereo but the original radio is included. Comes with new floor mats.

Hey guys, it pains me to say this but I have to sell one of my vettes. I have a 1979 stingray that I just don�t have time for anymore. The interior is perfect and we finished fixing up the motor last year but it needs body work. I recently bought a new vette and my wife said the old one has to go. I don�t have time to do the work myself and I live in a small town where theirs not a lot of options for someone to do the work for me. I�m not asking a crazy price as I�m only looking for 9k. Hi, I've been looking for a solid car that runs, drives, probably needs a new paint job but good fiberglass and solid frame and birdcage. I am OK with a NON-matching # car. Something I can tackle at home as far as restoration and not having to dismantle the whole car to do so. The car is for weekend drives and tinkering. I am a noob in the corvette world and would like to get into the hobby. T-tops or convertibles, must be a manual 4 speed and any engine is fine with me. I've had a few $15k or less cars get away from me. Hopefully one that gets my attention will come along. My budget is no more than $15k. Thanks for your time.

1971 Corvette Stingray Coupe. Engine is original, numbers matching 270 Horsepower 350 small block. Engine was rebuilt shortly before I purchased, and has less than 6K miles on it! Quadrajet professionally rebuilt by legendary Corvette carb rebuilder, Lars Grimsrud. All new correct seats/carpet installed, adding heat shield/sound dampening layer. Pertronix ignition w/Flamethrower coil installed to replace points. New custom auto sound Bluetooth radio, with new speakers and wiring. Professionally rebuilt correct tilt/tele column, new battery, newer tires. Borgeson steering box. New gas tank. Newer aluminum radiator. Newer Lonestar Brakes. AC car, but ac isn�t working. I�m new here and I have a numbers matching 1969 L71 corvette coupe project that I�m looking to find a new home for. I thought that this would be the best place to see what people thought that it could possibly bring on BAT or something similar, or if someone were in the market on here they could reach out as well.
This has been an Eastern Canada car all its life.
It has been off the road since 1982 and has 58,xxx original miles.
- 427-435 hp tri power
- M21 4 speed
- 3:70 posi
- Monza red
- Red leather interior
- motor, trans, and rear end rebuilt under previous ownership
- chassis has been completely restored

Hello all,

My wife and I are selling our 1973 Chevy Corvette with the 454. It is a highly modified 'vette and we are not claiming numbers matching. But she sure is pretty. :) We are located in Salt Lake City, Utah.She�s got power windows, the Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission, and the lovely 454 power house of a motor. The motor has an Edelbrock Intake Manifold, and Holley 4-barrel carb. We have never cracked open the motor so I have no idea if there has been more done internally but she definitely feels quicker than a 53 year old stock 454. The bottom end, air filter, and heads have been paint matched to the body color and the a/c was deleted with an alternator relocate. The blower is still in the car. She starts, runs, and stops. I have no idea if she is numbers matching.

If you are familiar with corvettes you will notice this one looks a bit different. And you would be right. She went through a full body off frame restoration. During this restoration an extremely skilled body specialist gave her a modified fiber glass body. The swooping roof line, rear window, wider fenders, hood, side skirts, rear deck, all custom. The frame has been gone through and coated to prevent rust. Bushings, shocks, springs, all have been replaced. Custom mag wheels. The interior was also touched. Custom upholstery throughout. Newer (retro looking) stereo with updated speakers. She gets constant looks, thumbs up, and smiles. We have entered and won several car shows.

We have owned this Vette for about 3.5 years. All the custom work was done before we bought it. And we have no idea who did the work. Just that the previous owner got it from a shop at a car show in California. In the time we have had it, we updated the tires (2022) and did regular maintenance (fluid changes and brake pads). Otherwise she has just ran the way she�s supposed to.

The pros:

Starts, Runs, and Stops
Extensive custom bodywork. She is 1 of 1.
Clean birdcage, body, and frame.
Restored components.
That beautiful 454 motor.
NO rust.

The cons:
She is a 53 year old car and is not a collectors car. She is driven and is not perfect. She had her mild leaks (oil, coolant, power steering pump, transmission cooler). All mild, but there. The car sat for a bit with the previous owner. As such some of the interior could use some love. It�s 90% there. Just some small things here and there to button it all up. There are a couple of small blemishes (cracks) in the paint and one half dollar sized bubbling up. Also, the Speedo and Tach work. So does the coolant temp. But the other gauges are not hooked up or not working. Haven�t had the time to look into it.

My wife and I are sad to see her go but have decided to start a family and want to get use the money to expand our home.

I have a bunch of parts (including 4 new rotors), maintenance books, wiring diagrams, tinted T-Tops, and a leather bag for the T-Tops.

No test drives without proof of funds. And not interested in trades as of now.
